Yeah, Emmrich’s story/romance is so much more compelling, in my opinion, if you save Manfred. To help him see the beauty in the brevity of life. The lich ending feels forced and so … emotionless by comparison. I don’t know if there’s a more canon option, but based on how Emmrich acts, he seems way more happy and true to himself if he stays human (and his romance is so much more sensual too imo).

I agree, it fees MILES better than the lich ending. 🥹 Better dialogue, more tenderness, and shows Emmrich’s growth of character and overcoming his biggest fear to protect another soul. That’s way more compelling, imo. I’m so glad other people agree, it sees pretty split in what people prefer, but I’ll be saving Manfred!

I don't agree with the lichdom choice at all. I'm glad Bioware gave us a choice to not pick it. Plus I wouldn't want to lose sweet Emmrich and Manfred. ^^
