@@rileyschmedeman652 sometimes easier doesn't mean dumbed down. Sometimes minimalist or simple stuff can work and don't know, help the mood of the song, blend better with the vocals... As a drummer, obviously BMTH drums have also simplified a lot, but I think that, as long as it helps the music... In the end, a lot of bands are known for their more simple and catchy songs rather than for the more complex ones

Javi Hernandez I think you were misunderstood. I completely agree with you, i just meant it in the sense that they were easier. As some one who is a guitarist enjoys Amo and That’s The Spirit over their past works, i find it disappointing that the songwriting and ambition was there, but not the exciting and throttling riffs that made their earlier work tolerable

When you lay these riffs out back to back it's real nice to see the changes. Sure, some of the later stuff isn't as complex as the early stuff, but it has a different groove to it which in these examples is pretty sick IMO.

I've enjoyed pretty much every faze of BMTH. The guitar riffs got noticeably simpler as time has gone on, but I find their music more enjoyable in a different way.
