I think the fandom of Oli is the thing that overshadows Lee and the rest of the band, he's one of a beast a guitarist and deserves more recognition than he receives but then again they've been using him less and less.

I think Oli's aware that Lee is becoming more and more "bored" with their new music, he gets to play easier stuff everytime (as a musician, I know how frustrating it is). And that's why in Ludens he gave Lee the chance to shine back just as in their latest albums, and I hope that gives us a clue of what they might be doing on their next album(s)

BMTH still use guitar riffs in their more pop rock songs. They just use a electric / dance guitar thing so his still playing guitar but it sounds poppy. Make sense? Also all of the concerts of BMTH they play like MANTRA and Wonderful life from their new album, A majority of their songs were from Sempiternal and That’s the spirit. I wished they played more from There’s a Heaven/Hell but the comedown is a classic he always plays. I think in the future their gonna be more experimental with their guitar.

Can someone tell me how Lee’s playing the happy song chorus? I know he’s in E standard here but the song is recorded in C standard, but it doesn’t sound like straight power chords, he’s doing something weird and I can’t figure it out and it’s annoying me lol. It’s the second chord in the chorus at 5:28

7 on g string, 4 on b string. It's a dissonant chord. The notes are 1 apart. Play 7 and then 8 on the G string and its basically just playing those intervals at the same time

This man can hella shred riffs for days. I know BMTH have grown away from their metal days as a band. But man I just wish.. Like seriously fucking wish Lee would start like a side project band where he does hella metal riffs again. Cause man.. this guy makes some sick iconic metal riffs. And we know he still gots it. 🤘😈🤘
