Hi guys. My wife and I lived/worked in Gladstone in the late 1960's early 1970's and in those days there weren't many caravans on the toad so Calliope was very quiet, in fact a group of us used to water ski there most weekends, bit different now. Incidentally, we are also from Adelaide. We also travelled Australia for 4.5 years from 2004 in our 26ft. caravan. enjoy your vids.

4:39 Nah it couldn't go to Newcastle! Only to Roma street on Narrow gauge 3'6" . Then you would have to go to South Brisbane for 4'8.5" Standard gauge train for Newcastle. The Luggage would be forwarded between the two trains by truck or by the passengers themselves via taxi. 6:17 Notice the Phone book for dunny paper. You can also read it while you're waiting. Not much of a story, but a fabulous cast! :)
