Literally have an XRV kit in the post on the way to me - very keen for your follow up video with the ATF!

I've done 3 now, using your and Mario's guide. Calibration is critical. Also, it really helps to do a more perfect accelerometer calibration and orientation as per Mario's VESC 1 Wheel Full setup starting around 101.00 For whatever reason, once we did that, after using your setup guide, Muy Bueno ~!~ Thank you for all you do. I absolutely LOVE this kit.

I'm actually shocked at how well the vega did climbing that hill, was also cool seeing the trail side calibration fix as well. Small things like that make all your videos an essential watch, I don't wanna miss any pieces of knowledge that could save my ass one day

Vega seems to throw the dirt on the foot pads. I am hoping my new treaded tire won't do that and I will be happy.

@@surfdado We dont recomand using statorade, because statorade is basically nano treated Fe3O4 particles suspended in C3H8O, the fluid is most likely to evaporate overtime and leaving some oxidized Iron in the hub, might be dangerous for hall sensors, and sometimes the solvent will melt the epoxy that holds your magnet to the hub, which is also nightmare to repair.

Interesting. This might solve my crunch issue on adv. Mine would crunch once at very low speed but high torque. I kept thinking it's a loose bolt but I've checked the bolts.

My go-to trail board is still the 18s2p Thor300 board with the 7" Burris and the Floatboxx Cyber Rails XL. Come to think of it, I haven't even made a video on it...

well made video, good job. i am planning on buying an XRV kit to build my first VESC board. that performance is impressive especially on a stock battery AND stock vega tire?

In your honest opinion. Coming from someone who has a fungineers board already. I have an xr that I already pimped out and im unhappy with the stock controller. Should I get the XRV kit if I want to keep my XR a lightweight grocery getter or should I skip the XRV and pay a bit more for a different kit?

Upgrading the computer and rails before the tire is weird to see.
@dave43478 күн бұрын
Not really that weird tbh, I've seen some people upgrade the tire last because their thinking is to use it until it wears down. Me personally, I'd upgrade it no matter what 🙂

Great video! Exactly what i was looking for. What was the battery temp?? I guess tou can't check with that cheap bms. But I am concerned because there were times I hit 130°F on my stock Xr. That's already way more than acceptable. Imagine you're now dumping 2 or 3 times the current. Must degrade the battery suuuuuuper fast 😨 right???
@Kay0Bot16 күн бұрын
Something definitely not right there are you pushing up alot hills? You have high ambient temps? Like 27c or above?
@surfdado14 күн бұрын
man I wish I had a battery temp sensor in the XRV boards - I am a bit worried about those stock XR packs... but 130F battery temp on a stock XR doesn't sound right... Never seen that before
@shabadavtar9370Күн бұрын
@surfdado yes that's just some hardcore technical trail riding. Not to hot but the dead of summer. Maybe 80/90F ambient. Also 3000 of those kind of miles on the board 😄. I now have brand new cbxr and just don't wanna hurt it too bad.
