I've driven both Freightliner and International bob tails for a living and I just can't get comfortable in them. There isn't enough room for me to stretch out in the cab. The Super C's on the Ford chassis are the only ones that allow me to stretch my legs out in.
@WanderingWagners4 жыл бұрын
Not sure which super C's are on a Ford chassis besides the pick up cab style. Mike is 6'2" and has no complaints with either chassis, but everyone is different!
@Mrsunshine12344 жыл бұрын
@@WanderingWagners I'm the same height but I need to be able to stretch my legs out. I could in the Freightliner but it's tricky and not safe. I'd have to get my foot in behind the brake pedal. Thor Motorcoach is one of maybe two that do use the Ford chassis and are somewhat affordable. You'll have a blast in yours though, they are definitely beasts.

I came across this video and noticed the Airstream and the title. Funny, We did the same thing back in 2015. We had the Safari 25 and made the decision to try the motorhome thing. Got tired of hooking and unhooking in the heat and not having a few things (i.e. Generator) without having to carry one. So I put the Airstream up for sale and a couple from Seattle, WA wanted it. They flew down to SoCal to pick it up (never having any towing experience). Like you, my wife and I felt sad and even today, we wonder how's the AS doing. LOL. We too felt sad and still point out Airstreams on our trips. Anyway, congrats on the purchase and safe travels! If not already, big difference in "not hearing" what's going on in the trailer vs hearing everything in the motorhome.

We like to boondock often and residential isn't as compatible to us. Yes you could run your generator but we don't want to run it all the time... We got what we wanted out of the Airstream, and if we wouldn't have got what we wanted, we wouldn't have traded. Airstream tends to hold value quite well. The reason why we traded? Well there really isn't a specific reason haha we just have been wanting to try a motorhome, even before we bought the Airstream. We came across this super c and things just feel into place and here we are. We don't really plan ahead on when we will trade/get a different coach. With the way we like to travel we were interested to see if a motorhome was a better fit for us or not... Never know unless you try! So far we are really enjoying it

Thank you😁 did you ever sell your Lance?
@tracibailey21124 жыл бұрын
Wandering Wagners yes, a couple from Iowa bought it last November but just picked it up last Friday. They couldn’t find storage so we stored it for them and then Covid hit, that’s why they just picked it up. Now we are waiting on the 2021 models to come out and we’ll order our fifth wheel.

Great video! Looking to purchase a Nexus Wraith Super C as well… and your video shows how it drives, etc. All you usually see is a walk around and no road footage. Thank you! Take care!

We've done a few upgrades and have shown more interior footage since this video as well, if you're interested in checking out more. We are happy with the Wraith!

She’s a beauty. So glad for you. I used to let our pup sit in my lap as hubby drove the rv. He would sit in my lap leaned back against me like a little person and watch the world go by. He loved rving. We still miss him.

I may have missed it, but how did you guys decide on the Nexus Wraith vs. other Super C brands? Here in VA we see a ton of Jayco Super C's. Regional?
@WanderingWagners4 жыл бұрын
We decided on it based on a few things, firstly is length. Jayco and several others are on a longer chassis that won't fit in our garage and therefore we simply won't ever buy. The other was price point for a super c is relativity low. Also Mike really likes the international chassis

@@WanderingWagners I knew when I heard it running Mike would love it. Especially that Cummins!

Guys its one awesome looking rig. Did notice the bouncy sound from the road. Glad you upgraded later. Excellent explanation of all the interior. Great video guys.

any empty motorhome will make a lot more noise than one that is loaded up with stuff. It's a quiet ride for us now over 2 years later! Thanks for the comment

I wonder why they aren’t coming with ovens these days. Both of my travel trailers, at much less cost, came with them. How else am I going to heat up pizza and frozen fries?!
@WanderingWagners4 жыл бұрын
I believe it's price and they know a lot of people don't use them for whatever reason. We sure do love having ovens!

Lynn, consider a countertop oven, my mom uses one in her house and now never bakes in her regular oven. Hers is a Delongi or Cuisinart, don’t recall. Nice rig though guys.
@pcrose51634 жыл бұрын
Good idea, but countertop seems too limited for a countertop oven. We live in a Grand Design (with more countertop) full time and it still feels like our countertop oven takes too much space. We keep in on the range and have to set it on the dinette to use the burners.
@WanderingWagners4 жыл бұрын
I've considered a few other options if we decide to go that route but don't want to put in an oven. Right now we are going to get the convection it's supposed to have, and see how we like that. One of the big reasons we wanted an oven was because it's propane fueled not electric so you don't have to have power to use it. But we'll see which way we go
