As a fellow sorcery enjoyer, I applaud you and your creative spell choice There's one thing I'd like to share, because I don't think I've seen you use it: as far as my knowledge goes, carian sceptre's WA can true combo into carian slicer at max casting speed (which you have, radagon's talisman plus azur's staff). You might wanna give it a try!

As a Caster main, I'm still saddened that Elden Ring basically ignored all the good stuff DS2 brought forward for Casters. Attunement for Cast Speed Catalyst Infusions (No DMG Ring Stacking) Catalyst Shields/Weapons Herbs, Spices, and Waters 14 Attunement Slots Unique Armor Effects On top of that, it also irks me that Pure Casters basically only have 1 Ash of War, two-handed L1 is a dead button, and they still haven't gotten rid of the useless R2 Bonk after 13 years now...
@stevie316 ай бұрын
I liked ds2s spells but i never liked having to get multuple copies of the same spell just to be able to cast it more. I would rather have the fp bar that can be refilled with a flask
@Battleguild6 ай бұрын
@@stevie31 I prefer duplicate attuned spells because you overall had more spell casts vs FP, especially when it came to "bulk" spells like Soul Arrow or Dark Orb. An FP bar of 300 (50 Mind) could cast Glintstone Pebble (7 FP) 42 times but nothing else except for a spell that costs less than 7 FP. (It's just shy of 43 casts) An Attunement of 50 in DS2 could allow you to cast Soul Arrow 36 times, while less than Glintstone Pebble by 6 casts, but you still have 7 other spell slots of spells fully capable of casting their full arsenal of casts. That's not even including attuning the 3 other copies you could get for a total of 144 casts and still have 3 other spells ready to be used. While Elden Ring offers reduced FP costs and damage stacking, DS2 offered equipment to boost attuned spell casts and equipping duplicate spells to push that number even higher. I just don't like FP because if you have 1 spell that is clearly better than others, you're basically only ever going to see that one spell spammed by others online at the expense of other far more interesting and variable spells.
@stevie316 ай бұрын
@@Battleguild That is a good point. I do remember though in sotfs i had a pure caster and i ran into a problem where i couldn’t get any more herbs so i kept running out of spells during fights. I dont remember if npcs sold them or not
@Battleguild6 ай бұрын
@@stevie31 Most spell merchants sold a limited supply of herbs or waters. I believe Ornifex*, birb lady, used to sell unlimited Amber Herbs but that got patched out. Jailers and the female Pyromancers dropped a plentiful amount of Twilight/Withered Herbs when farmed. Iron King Crown passively restores Spell Casts, a feature noticably missing from Elden Ring. (ER had death trigger FP recovery but no true version of passive recovery.)
