Molly is a beautiful and relaxed bird. She has a big cage, and a lot of toys, and she get a lot of attention that keep her from being bored. I love birds, especially hyacinths and parrots, the big ones, but I also like that little dubble yellowheaded amazone. He is also beautiful.

Hi! Thank you for your kind words. I had the BEST day ever with Carolin. She is the sweetest & best! She came to see my new Hyacinth macaw. Molly is the macaw my in-home rescue adopted and will have in our sanctuary forever.

Macaws especially green wings and hyacinths are just 1 bird I always feel a little sad about seeing in captivity I just don’t feel like most people have the space even if I could adopt 1 of these birds I don’t think I would unless I could have it free flight trained or living in a huge outdoor aviary

Hi I am about to adopt a hyacinth macaw. I was told by my vet to quarantine for 45 days. My question would be should I take her to the vet as soon as possible or should I wait to let her adjust? Thanks

I take birds about 7-14 days later to the vet so they can adjust a bit. BUT 45 days is a long time so go to the vet for blood tests and a check up can decrease that to 30 days.

I think she should definitely be on a different diet as the carnival food is not very healthy. She sure is beautiful though and sweet.

The carnival is a treat as her high fat, raw nuts and fresh foods are her main diet. Thanks for watching! 😀
