Professor Jeremy Dibble, in our Department of Music, has helped to revive the forgotten works of two of the late 19th and early 20th century’s most famous composers. Music by Sir Charles Villiers Stanford and Sir Hubert Parry is now being performed and recorded for the first time ever, or in decades, thanks to Professor Dibble’s work.
The music featured in this video is Sanctus from Stanford's mass Via Victrix (SRCD 382) performed by the BBC National Orchestra of Wales and BBC National Chorus of Wales courtesy of Lyrita Recorded Edition.
