Getting in the habit of reading to your son at bedtime is the easiest way to start a routine at night. And reading to him at any other time is terrific! He'll graduate from university next year!

Read a book every night, regardless of whether he understands now or not, creates calming time.

We haven’t read to him at bedtime yet because we are very lucky he falls asleep straight away!!! But some have said we should still anyway so we are going to start doing that 🥰

Reading and talking to your babies gives them the best start to education. Reading exposes them to broad vocabulary, helps them learn problem solving and understand concepts of maths and science (colour, shape, measurement, time, environments, animals,weather etc). Reading is PROVEN to be an indicator of higher academic achievement and success in social relationships. Babies understand more than we realise. The routine, the comfort, the contact with dad, the time…. It is so special. Read and speak in bath languages, it dies NOT confuse a child…. They are capable to learn two languages from birth.
@lillywildflower2 ай бұрын
@@mytinyestateyou can include reading as part of the play routine too. Even tummy time, have a book (board book… hard pages) that will stand up by itself. Then talk and point to things in the book. I’m now a grandma but I read to our babies every day, they are gorgeous memories to create.

If you give them the joy of reading you give them a gift for life. And once they start school, if they can read …they don’t just enjoy reading books… they will be able to read maths/science/geography questions and information etc too. it’s a gift that keeps giving. But with that said… don’t panic if they don’t immediately take to reading… it will come when they are ready. Don’t pressure them…they’ll be learning all sorts of other skills in the meantime. Listening skills, understanding the pictures, comprehension, how to behave when reading (page turning/sitting and listening and asking questions). And of course the bonding time between child and parent when reading is priceless. Encourage them and let them to go at their pace…make the experience a positive, loving one. X

I was a head gardener at a private estate, what we did was create a master list that we called a parking lot! Once a month we would update this list by walking around the estate gardens and either creating a new list or add to the old one. Once a week the owners and I would pull from the main parking lot to create a list of things that need or we wanted to get done in the garden that week. Depending on the time of year or if we were opening the house and gardens for tours or many other things! Gardens will always keep you busy :)

I read to my son every night from birth to 12yo. It only stopped when we went on holiday and I forgot to pack the book we were currently reading. When we got back he decided he did not want to continue but he did take up doing it himself before bed (he already read at othertimesoftheday). When he'd moved on from early childhood books I decided to read him the older classics children's books that are fabulous stories but the 'older' English and style of writing can be challenging for young readers. He loved them.

You need straight hydrangea grandiflora Annabelle always has big and heavy heads. You can also easily increase the plants you have by layering them. With the yew hedge by the greenhouse, it’s a good idea to cut it eight inches lower than the ultimate height. This means you will have a nice fluffy hedge top not a twiggy looking one.

Congrats on making it safely home with your baby! Relax,breathe and enjoy this time. It goes by far too quickly! He is your lifelong project. Everything else will get done when it gets done. The prize is your boy. Keep refocusing your eyes there. Raising a fine human is more important than any other project. 👨❤️👨
