We needed a passport also because we lived at the swiss border in Germany and my mom lives in Switzerland. 😂 At the end I had to Photoshop the picture as we had non that matched enough. Nobody realized luckily. I made a collage out of 3 images.

Relax, you will be great dads, as most of the people replying have implied. We’ve just had our 7th grandchild, and I can’t see him yet because I have a cold. So everyone gets cuddles before me. So here I am, checking out everyone else’s! You survived the drama of the car, and lots of things that don’t matter, take your time and enjoy your boy, and as someone else has remarked, throw away the bloody book! ❤

My only advice to any new parents is do what you need to do to get through it - whilst you may get tips from a book, trust your gut as you'll get to know him as an individual and we are all different. Just believe in your little family of 3, leave everyone's expectations at the door, and you will get along just fine ;)

very tiny babies cant be trained to do anything, including sleep. they usually need to be fed a minimum of four hourly so day and night kind of blend. some babies do sleep through the night early but its luck not good management. you are doing the right thing taking turns. it doesnt help for both of you to be awake all the time. when your baby is older it is money well spent to get a sleep nurse for a week or so. they are fantastic. enjoy this time even though its hard. blink and they are 2 and the fun really begins!

Congratulations you two. Good idea to alternate your sleeping times. My husband and I took it in two daily shifts. That way you got two decent nights s sleep, were well refreshed when it came to your two nights and were just tired enough to be able to sleep on your two nights off. It takes on average 4 months for a baby to start sleeping through the night (if you are lucky). I totally agree with another commenter who said to let your baby sleep with daily noises and not in silence. I could do hovering around my first child as I had her in such a routine (which is very important) she could sleep thru the end of time TG😊 Also DO NOT wake your baby up to show him off to friends and family, no matter when they call to see the baby!😊😊😊 You’ve got this be supportive of each other and you will be fine.
