Find your recipe here: adventuresineverydaycooking.co... Three words. Air. Fried. Brisket. -- OH. MY. WORD. This was soooooo extremely good and boarded on the best brisket we've ever eaten. But you don't have to believe me... check it out!
Disclaimer: The Pampered Chef #DeluxeAirFryer guide says do not use foil in the machine. However, I believe that they mean for you to not cover your trays in foil as it inhibits the air flow. However, that is my opinion, so do this recipe at your own risk (but it's amazing--lol).
Original recipe adapted from Paula Dean's Texas Oven-Roasted Beef Brisket - www.pauladeen.com/recipe/texa...
Brisket in the Air Fryer
Ingredients:
2 tablespoons chili powder
2 tablespoons salt
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon onion powder
1 tablespoon black pepper
1 tablespoon sugar
2 teaspoons dry mustard
1 crushed bay leaf
4 lbs trimmed beef brisket
1 1/2 cups beef stock
PLEASE NOTE: 4lbs of brisket may not fit in your air fryer. Be sure to measure to fit and adjust as needed. 4lbs cut in half fit in the #DeluxeAirFryer.
Directions:
Preheat the air fryer to 350 °F. Cut Brisket to fit the tray of your air fryer.
Combine the chili powder, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, sugar, dry mustard and bay leaf. Rub the seasoning all over the raw brisket making sure you get the sides. Place rubbed brisket on your tray (or trays) and fit into your machine. Set your time at 350 for 1 hour. At the end of 1 hour, make a foil boat around the brisket and add beef stock. Seal well and get it back into the air fryer. Lower the air fryer temp to 300 °F, and cook for 3 hours, or until fork-tender. Trim the fat and slice meat thinly across the grain. Top with juice from the pan.

Thanks @Gayle Weihbrecht for requesting this video! I have only cooked brisket once (oven) and it did not turn out. This looked so moist and delicious. I will definitely try again using my air fryer, Heather nailed another adventure!

A lot of folks say they will, well, I did! My first EVER brisket was a 2.3 lbs and fit fine in my Cuisinart large fryer. When we bought it, i REALLY didn't want to sweat 12-16 hours as others have always done. I knew there was a better/ easier way. I seasoned with what I had in my seasoning cabinet, but what REALLY did it for my brisket was the brown sugar, like you mentioned. At first, I thought I may have used too much seasoning, but when it was done, I removed the drizzle and the brisket was PERFECT! Juicy, tender, and falling apart. The flavor was A-mazing!! I didn't make a gravy, I used the drizzle directly on top of the serving. Thank you for making this video, you've helped make me an admired cook in my home 🥰

Thank you for showing how to make brisket in the air fryer. For some reason it never occurred to me that I could actually cut it in half and wrap it in foil. I am now making my second brisket after seeing your video last week. I just used my family's recipe for brisket, which is so good and easy. Lipton onion soup mix, lemon pepper, garlic powder, Kosher salt, red wine. You also want to base it every hour. Sometimes I add a little bit of beef broth, but not much sometimes you just need more red wine. If you have any leftovers, I add a little more wine to that too like a 1/2 cup or less if there isn't much juice left over. You can eat it by itself or on a sandwich. This smells so good, you want to make sure you eat before you start cooking this... My family might get mad that I shared this recipe. But it is so good everyone needs to eat it!

Thanks so much! I have been looking at corned beef recipes, and have pretty much settled on using my Ninja Foodi air fryer mode this year to make my St Patrick's day meal. Have found some good recipes (after watching this, I watched your air fryer recipe as well, and am now convinced that it is the way to go!). But that got me thinking that there should probably be a similar way to air fry an 'uncorned' brisket. When I saw your thumbnail in my recommended list, I clicked on it right away, and that looks like a fantastic way to cook a brisket! I am looking forward to experimenting with this, playing around with different rubs and marinades to make it more 'barbecued and smoky' but also think that this could be a great way to prepare brisket to use for French Dip Sandwiches. My standard way of preparing those has been to roast the meat in the oven, cool and slice into thin slices and then use my slow cooker to let them warm up in the au jus/broth. But even that method requires me to buy a very good (read expensive) cut of meat, so I only do it when I find a really good sale. I am thinking that this would not only be cheaper, but overall faster, to end up with some marvelously tasty and tender meat to use for the sandwiches. I'm thinking that instead of using plain broth, I could add worceestershire sauce, spices, vinegar and wine to the broth that I'm adding inside the foil, with the benefit of having the lovely au jus that's going to come from the braised meat.

So glad you happened upon the channel! :) How did your St Patty's day meal go (sorry for the delayed response, I was in Denver for a couple weeks).
@patriciaschuman4205
@patriciaschuman4205 Жыл бұрын
@@AdventuresinEverydayCooking The St Patty's day meal was wonderful. I started off using the pressure cooker function on my Ninja Foodi to cook my potatoes (eight minutes) first and then the cabbage, carrots and parsnips (three minutes). I used a bottle of beer and some balsamic vinegar as my liquid instead of water. Then I transferred the vegetables (with a bit of the liquid from the pot) into a roasting pan covered with foil and kept that at low heat (275 degrees) in the oven while using the cook/roast function of the Ninja Foodi to cook my corned beef that I had coated in mustard, seasonings and brown sugar. (I ended up buying two smaller corned beef flats and wrapped them separately in foil and stacked them). Then I used the ninja foodi broil function at the end to do the final browning of the meat while I removed the foil and broiled the vegetables in the oven to give them a bit of crisp too. It was honestly the most tender and flavorful corned beef I have ever had, and that was from two different vendors of corned beef. Still waiting to find a regular (uncorned) brisket at one of the markets in town so that I can experiment with roasting it in foil for French Dip purposes.

Try injecting the meat with the broth and added liquid smoke. Then every 30 minutes, spray it with butter spray before wrapping it in foil. Then allow it to rest for as long as you cooked it. I'll bet it will come out even better. If you want that crispness on the outside, a good searing on top, bottom, and all the sides before putting in the air fryer may help.

Question/theory - why start hot then cover and go slow? I wonder if this could be done the opposite way. Start with 3 hours at 300F in the foil, then remove the foil and finish with an hour at 350F. Basically same amount of cooking but in the opposite sequence. Would it work to get a nice crispy bark on the outside?

I would love to try and answer your questions... but I need a couple clarifications. Do you mean like an egg bake? Or a an egg that you've air fried to the hard boil stage? I did a baked frittata recipe in the air fryer (for the channel) about a year ago. But I've never done perogies, but we do pot stickers all of the time and they are awesome (there is also a video on that as well here on the channel-- frozen foods). Let me know!
