Dude! My mouth was watering… not only because it looks great, but because I’ve smoked a brisket with the Goldee’s rub; and I couldn’t agree with you any more, it is by far the best rub to put on a brisket. It was delicious, and I could taste it through my phone! lol😅

Been a bit. I see you started a new channel. Surprised you're just now trying the Goldees brisket rub. I've smoked a few briskets using it. I like it as well. Was going to try the duck fat a couple yrs ago. Exact same brand and can. Sprayed for a second and plugged. Wiped my ass with that can and never tried another. Surprised to read that T-Roy moved to NM. Think Ruidoso has more Texans than natives.

Hey Duane! It's the same channel, I just changed my name to match my bbq competition team name. Just trying to get all my social media platforms on the same page.

Been a fan since I first saw you appear in a T-Roy vid years ago. Have tried a few of the products you've suggested with "It's Incredible" one of my favorite seasonings. I have enjoyed duplicating some of your recipes on some of my backyard cooks. Since I haven't seen you mention it in any vid, what prompted you to rename the channel??
@CentralTexasGrilling Жыл бұрын
Hey Rob how's it going! So I changed my competition bbq team name and as trying to get all my social media platforms on the same page. I've been meaning to make a video explaining it but just haven't yet. I should be doing one soon.

I didn't make burnt ends, but my next video is actually a chuck roast video. I can definitely try doing burnt ends with the next one.

On the comp circuit does anyone (successfully) turn in brisket fat cap up I’ve never cooked that way but I’m seeing Chud do that in the foil boat
@CentralTexasGrilling Жыл бұрын
Yes, many cooks do cook fat cap up. That's how I cooked mine when I first started.

How does this rub do compared to first class promised land? I tried promised land on my last brisket and it tasted under seasoned. Might have been my fault for not going heavier on the coat or it could have been that I didn't use a fresh brisket and used one that had been in the freezer for a year I had forgot about. The goldees one looks yellow I wonder if it has lemon, butter or citrus in it?
@CentralTexasGrilling Жыл бұрын
I really like both of them. I think they're both great. I think the Promise Land was geared more towards the competition side of things where this one is more for cooking around the house. The Goldie's has lots of flavors by itself.

Get in my BELLY LMAO i want to know about the duck fat does it throw the tastes off ive seen you use it before i want to try it out
@CentralTexasGrilling Жыл бұрын
The duck fat doesn't affect the taste whatsoever. The oil/fat does help keep it from drying out in my opinion. It also helps, after you slice it, to keep the slices moist longer.
