Filmed at various points during my shift yesterday, the video gets off to a slow start but is worth watching to the end. Enjoy.

I was almost 30+ years younger watching your video. I was a DVR at PE Gar for many years. Retired over 26 years ago. Will be watching for any further videos from your good self. The old gar hasn't changed too much it seems. But the amount of changes in the buildings all over London, blow my mind. Expect now you will be trying to find if anyone remembers me. I doubt it after so many years.. Incidentally I use a DJI OSMO 1 but due to my age and the pandemic seldom out enough to use it. Anyway thanks for posting appreciate. Well done.

@@jf4950 I can't work out how to get the camera to stay straight, you move you arm around to pan and the camera doesn't move, it focuses to the side and catches up slowly. Time will take I think, to get used to it. The quality is there though, filmed in 4k but output as HD for KZbin.

Ah I’ve missed being in the output a bit! I’ll come back for a visit one day when restrictions are relaxed and things a bit more normal

How do you find the tight roads on the 191, inside of E is so London Transport, the old photos on the wall we’d love to see, also what’s that about the 279 contract. So much! My old area.
@BristolRE3 жыл бұрын
The 191 is only good on a late Sunday shift, Lol. Wouldn't fancy the tighter roads with parked cars on a weekday!
@TrainBoy-tf9gh3 жыл бұрын
Nice video Peter would you prefer changing rota to the 191 or keep working on 121 in the future?
@BristolRE3 жыл бұрын
Thanks. Prefer the 121 over the 191

OOOH man, If I had known you were doing the 191 yesterday I would go and said hello, I do 149´s. The thing with the handbrake and the cab door is the same in every single LT, so annoying. By the way, that green bus was wrapped last week in Tottenham, I thinks is too bright for the road, awful colour. Nice video, like always :)
@BristolRE3 жыл бұрын
Thanks, it is a tad bright! Not often I do the 191, think this is the 3rd time.

Your videos are very satisfying to watch and this one gave a change of scenery too. Hope you get the hang of the camera soon. Question: why are the hazard lights used in the garage area? I don’t see the point.
@BristolRE3 жыл бұрын
I don’t see the point either but it’s policy here, might well have been at Metroline as well, cannot recall now
@GuyArab3 жыл бұрын
@@BristolRE It’s also policy here in Yorkshire with WY Metro dictating they also should be used in bus stations too.

Any plans to do the 313 so we can have your reaction to the allocated buses on that route?

Still not type trained, reluctant to as they keep breaking down.

@@BristolRE I believe Ts and DWs do make appearances on the 313 so is it theoretically possible for you to drive the 313 with them?

How many routes are you qualified to drive? I know you drive 121 and 191 but what are the others?
@BristolRE3 жыл бұрын
I can do all out of E except the 192 which I have not route learned, and at the moment I can't do the 313 unless they give me a DW or T as I've not type trained on the Borisbus.
@EnfieldExplorer3 жыл бұрын
@@BristolRE Thanks that’s really interesting 😁

@@BristolRE It's similar to the W6 route Peter as it has the Hail and Ride section so I don't think you should work on the route 192 or or you might have more stressful.
@southlondoner71693 жыл бұрын
Are you not allowed to record yourself driving?
@BristolRE3 жыл бұрын
That would be a dodgy area. An employer wouldn't like you filming it if passengers boarding were shown, and of course you couldn't touch the camera after leaving the bus stand. Something maybe to think about when I know I'm leaving the company.

@@blackman-bp4tq You 'learn' the route when you join a bus garage. You ride the route once or twice so that you know it, making notes if you need to. It's easy. I've never had to ride a route to learn it more than once.
