One of the biggest issues would be convincing te military to attack their own citizens. It's hard to convince someone to fight against their parents siblings and friends.

@Viconius
@Viconius Жыл бұрын
@@victormorgan7766 Not the same situation. Cops do it regularly but individually and it's not part of police doctrine. The military has become less indoctrinated than it had been in the past, but it's still a powerful motivational force. It's why the Homeland security considers all EX-military personal as at least potentially national security risks. That may be idealistically inaccurate, but functionally true. The majority of ex-military could become extremely dangerous in way an untrained citizen wouldn't. But it's that indoctrination that also makes it unlikely in an appreciable numbers. it's this fundamental characteristic that would make it difficult to convince the bulk of the US military to turn on its citizens. Getting them to turn would be harder than citizens fighting them.

My husband and I are veterans, electronic warfare analysts. First, every soldier takes an oath to uphold and protect the constitution, not the government. They would be asking the military to fire upon their own friends and family. Plus, there are more veterans than active duty military. We have the same training and know how to work the same weapons. We have lived on military bases and know how to get in and off base. Plus, the retired cops and firemen also. Also the optics would be horrible, who would your target be? There is a video that has this scenario by the same person that did this video. I live in Texas and we go shooting on weekends. My son has been shooting since he was 9. So we are all pretty good and could defend ourselves if it came down to it.

You’re right about that end in America most of us and especially more moderate conservative really really praying for our military and our police and it pisses off to no end when they use weapons against citizens unlawfully or they do it because they’re scared like what happened on January 6, 2021. Awful. There were a couple idiots breaking windows and I don’t know why they did it except a friend of mine. It was there said a couple thousand people walking in about 30 Capitol police were standing around and I think they just got scared - they were close to 400 or 500,000 people walking over to the Capitol just a protest. President Trump has been asking for 10,000 or more National Guard from January 2 January 3 fourth fifth and Nancy Pelosi denied it and she denied it over and over and then she turned around and fired the chief of the Capitol Hill police when he did his job but she didn’t want anybody finding out about what she did so the January 6 commission was made up of her hand-picked representatives and only two were Republicans and they were Liz, Cheney and Adam Kinzinger, who were one big baby and Wiz is a warmonger establishment, Republican, like her daddy.., her dad was George bushes, vice president, and a warmonger. In addition to shooting somebody on a hunting incident even know it was an accident. I know a lot of these people who go out and loot and burn cities to the ground, have activist and NGOs & politicians behind them. There was a girl up at Donald Trump’s civil trial in New York out protesting and she was telling somebody there from Fox News. She was being paid to go so of course she was going to go.😂😂 WHAT??? a political party, and the establishment Republicans and Democrats in America are so insecure. They got a pay people to go protest.?? Geeze!! that’s awful. On January 6 there were so many thirds and BLM on the ground because everybody was dressed in black and you could tell them apart from other people and then we’re probably 200 or more people and they were just agitator and people that were in the inside of the Capital, we’re telling them to stop destroying stuff, and one guy wanted to burn the place and somebody took away his lighter!! People got accused of doing so much that day that was not done but there were assholes. They are like the two idiots trying to break a window to the Capital door for whatever reason and yet behind I’m still about 100 people with about six Capital officers just chatting.. there was a plain clothes officer on the inside, shooting five bullets into the crowd another wall you’re myself he should’ve been charged with third-degree murder, because that was reckless firing of a weapon, and he could’ve hit even his own colleagues. Nope!! Can you find four times and missed and then on the fifth fire he hit Ashli Babbitt in the neck and killed her.!! I think he was probably trying to hit the two guys who were the idiots attempting to break the window, but he broke the window by firing bullet through it, and it was so sad because we’re gets around really fast when you kill somebody and especially when you kill a woman and a veteran. Uh oh .. word got around the Capitol in about 5 to 7 minutes and that’s pretty freaking fast but that’s when all hell broke loose and yeah, there were a lot of people being a whole lot of Capital officers who were being aggressive, but if they weren’t being aggressive to the people on the ground, they weren’t aggressive to them. That was a shitty day !! the only people that provoked anything on the ground were some capital officers and the rest of them and the majority of them were wonderful, and the agitator dressed in black from head to toe, and a few of them would be wearing a Trump hat, but they looked weird because everything else from head to toe was black and of course they were wearing facemasks because of COVID-19 and they were trying to hide their faces but on January 6 most Trump supporters were not wearing masks and many of them were so it just depended but they didn’t have the FBI from hunting down people standing in the grass and arresting them. The FBI’s budget needs to be seriously cut, and I know we’re gonna have a big big risk of being attacked from the inside of our country because of all the illegal immigrants coming through without being vetted thanks to Biden. Yet. We can always activate the US marshals office to go after terrorist and criminals as well. The FBI need a swift kick in the butt and they should have their funding cut in half and I’ve always admired the police and most of them are respectful and respect worthy but a lot of these who directly go after people of color or poor people and anybody wearing a freaking red hat or somebody that supports a republican or Donald Trump is just absolutely unprofessional.. it’s sad that this stuff happens in America.

The US military would never fight the citizenry as, for the most part, many of the citizenry are members that are, or were, in the military. People forget that the US Government is a federal system. A big question is going to be how state and local governments, and law enforcements agencies are going to react. The Federal Government is not really well equipped to fight it own people since it does not directly control much population or territory. The US Civil War the US Federal Government had to lean heavily on the loyal states to supply money and troops. You currently see the States taking aggressive legal action against the over reach of the US Federal Government. So you have a significant local and state power system that is not going to be universally supporting the Federal Government.

A few things. First, The Fed will never use the military against the US people. The military comes from the US population. If the country is against its government the military personnel will be somewhere on the spectrum. It would also be difficult to convince military personnel to turn on their friends and family. Then there is the mindset of the people of the US, and what they can do. People refusing to pay taxes will cut the Fed of its financials. We also believe in voting. Signing a bill, and it would take a vote from Congress (House of Reps and House of Senate combined), would be professional suicide. Secondly, the American people fought for its independence from the strongest military in the world. We also fought against the many nations that were already here. We can be aggressive if we need to be. I live in a state that the Fed built a air force base. While the state government was okay the people were not. Some built home made anti-aircraft weapons. They went on a government-funded holiday, but the base was closed. I firmly believe that the only thing the US government is afraid of is the people of the United States.

Soldiers turning on the civilians is a low probability event due to this and to knowing the difference between legal and illegal orders, according to multiple studies done by the military. Also I have to laugh at the thought they could shut down arms supplies because much like the war on drugs there are tons of historical examples of the government's inability to prevent a black market. Plus there are plenty of examples of US home grown terrorist using common materials to wreak massive havoc. Another issue with the Citizens provide the military with their supplies and not the other way around. The amount of food/oil/etc that the military would need to keep functioning is high, the US economy fueled by citizens with what helps keep those supplies flowing to overseas bases. Course the same is true for citizens as food supplies into cities need to be constant and probably clear out store shelves as people begin to horde. Another way to look at it is could the US Military Occupy Europe? Because the US is basically about the same size as Europe and you'd need troops in every city and such to maintain control. Because as pointed out crushing an enemy military is easy for the US. It's the boots on the ground action and city fighting that it struggles with. Overall though an interesting thought experiment it would never happen as logistical issues were glossed over in the video so to was the idea that everyone would go to one side or the other. Depending on what the issue was that cause the divide it's unlike all would side with one or the other. There would probably be a lot of Military that would join with the Civilians, heck what about the National Guard which are often called weekend warrior as they are basically part time military. If they side with the Civilians that would give a huge benefit to that side. If the go with the Military they are trained for policing action to put down riots and such so it would bolster the military implementing martial law. As for those concerned with family members fighting each other they might give pause I just have to say look at the civil war. You had a lot of families taking up arms on the opposite side so clearly people got no issue with it if they feel their cause is good enough. The civil war I think is a much more likely setup as some civilians and military would take one side or the other. But that has way to many variables as it depends on the issue to know where the divide would be. As for the spark I think it's more likely the Military that would start it rather than the Civilians just tearing up their cities one day. After all who are they attacking there is no military forces in most cities to begin with. Basically I see something like the movie The Siege playing out where some threat to public safety arises and the military implements martial law. At first people think it's going to be short and go along with it but then as time goes on and the military measures get more extreme the public turns against them.

The whole premise of this is the US military fighting a small insurgency. What they fail to mention is, if an insurgency rose up, it would be because enough people got organized because they saw a corrupt system and government and decided to take action because the system is broken, and their goal would be a Constitutional reset. The actors would be the bold ones, but if that many people are spurned to action, then public sentiment in silent support will probably be very high, though they don't want to disrupt their lives to take action. The second the US military starts taking out the insurgency...killing American citizens, they have a problem because the silent supporters have all become active supporters. Now a nation of no less than 100 million Americans are against the military...most of them armed. Some may not fight directly, but work in the military industrial complex....where the military gets its bombs and bullets. The military supply chain is HERE....in the heart of America.....surrounded by citizens..... You can't bomb without missiles, bombs, or gas. You cant run tanks or APCs with troops into cities without bridges. You can't broadcast pro regime propaganda without electricity or internet. ..... You can't feed your army when private citizens control the farms..... That doesn't even factor in all the people in the military who would refuse to fight a war against American citizens because their own families may be involved in the revolution, and would likely join in. Then there are the millions of combat capable veterans who are discharged, know the weapons, tactics, and logistics of the ENTIRE US military...many of those from various special forces like Navy Seal, Green Beret, Marine Recon, Delta Force...all of whom know how to conduct operations and teach people how to fight an asymmetrical war. The US military would get it's ass kicked by American citizens if such a crazy thought experiment became real. Let's hope it never does.

Our military would not attack it's families and neighbors. Americans have the Constitutional Right to keep guns to stop a government from doing this exact thing this info video is portraying. The major majority of the military would stand with the people. A few crates of cheap Mosin Nagant rifles and you could outfit a small town with plenty of firepower to harass a military. But I will say just one thing. Americans love our country. We would do anything possible to avoid and all out battle against each other. (Unless you start a fight in Texas of course.)😊 🇺🇸

Homie, we can literally 3d print guns and make our own ammo. We got a man in Texas running for Congress who's been developing his own .50 caliber varient to the AK-47. We don't need to rely on outside help. America is literally founded on the principle of "if we can't get it, we make it ourselves." For example, Gen Washington melted down church bells to make brass cannons during the revolutionary war.

Not a chance for the military to operate within the US. If the government attempted door to door sweeps, there would be a lot of casualties. There are more hunters in the US in Texas than in the entire US Military. Military members would quit, and people would stop joining… they’d have to enact a draft and that would invariably mean many of the insurgents being ordered to serve… at which point sabotage is a real problem. This would be a slow death. Weapons and ammo, as we learned in Afghanistan, is only limited by the imagination, not necessarily supply.

1. There is documentation constraints, that prevent the U.S. Military from attacking civilians. Soldiers would refuse to do this. If for no other reason, to protect THEIR vulnerable families across the country. 2. We couldn't conquer Vietnam, what makes you think they could conquer U.S. Citizens, who are THE most well armed militia, the world has ever seen. 3. A CONSIDERABLE number of citizens are actually former military, this includes Recon Marines, Army Rangers, Navy SEALS, etc. These people would quickly, and efficiently train other citizens in Asymmetrical warfare. Every man, woman, and child would have the knowledge to build IED's, booby traps, and I have PERSONALLY seen an 11 year old GIRL, chew the center out of a 400yd target, with a .243 rifle. No. The U.S. military, could NOT conquer the citizenry, nor would the citizenry be able to subdue the military. However, in this sort of "War of attrition", the cost to the military, would CERTAINLY outweigh any benefit it would gain. BTW, I worked for the DoD for 25 years, and I'm privy to things most o you are not. I can assure you..... THIS will NEVER happen.

260 million citizens are adults in the United States. With enough firepower available to arm every single one of them. Not to mention creative warfare like using Molotov cocktails. And getting creative about taking out the vehicles and heavy weapons. As the United States veteran I can honestly say even if I thought that the civilians were wrong, and even if I agreed with the orders and decided to follow them. I don't think there would be much hope in winning against the civilian population. That said a very large majority of our military would probably refuse to take action against the civilians. They took an oath to uphold the Constitution against all enemies, (and here's the key words) both foreign and domestic. Therefore if turning on our own citizens was against the Constitution, that would make the government the enemy and the military would be obligated to fight against them instead. Only the ignorant who sided with the government would follow those orders, and the rest of the military would actually join the citizens. Making every attempt to defend them and fight alongside them. Now if it was just a group of civilians, they would not only have an issue with the military but they would have an issue with the rest of the citizens as well and they would be overwhelmed very very quickly.

Not a problem. For example air force planes need their basses to operate from. ALL such bases could EASILY be taken over with just local citizens. No base has enough defenses to hold back 20,000 armed people storming it. That would immediately neutralize the USAF. Navy is not a real problem as they couldn't land against a hostile shore. Army simply doesn't have enough numbers to stand against even 1% (3 million) of the population taking up arms..

1st, we were never in a total shutdown. There were a few states that stayed open. Then, the military would be outnumbered by veterans. The naval forces would have no one to fight as the citizens don't have, nor want, ships. The supply route would be through Canada and Mexico. Believe it, those 2 nations would enjoy the profits selling bullets to Citizens. It is also true, the Air Force would be useless, as the Citizens would not have any planes. Now you are down to tanks. Again useless! The citizens don't have, or want, tanks. That leaves armed hand to hand, street to street, fighting. Being outnumbered by huge odds, the citizens could win in a few weeks. A soldier dies, there is no one replacing them. The citizens can get reinforcements from the next town. Luckily we have a war every 3 1/2 years, to decide who will president. No guns needed, just a vote. We don't like them, they get voted out. Even if we DO like them, they can only be President for 2 elected terms (or 10 years in case of death or impeachment).

Yes, the military could cut off supply lines and make it hard for the "insurgents" to re-supply. However, one thing they didn't touch on in this video is the fact that the "insurgents" would, without a doubt, win some battles. When this happened the "insurgents" would then be able to start stock piling their own military grade weapons and equipment. Having obtained these weapons and equipment former soldiers could easily teach the "insurgents" how to use it. One other thing the military would have going against them would be bad PR if their tactics starting causing the death of too many innocent men, women, and children. A lot of citizens already don't trust the government and the more innocent people that died as a result of official military actions, the more citizens you would see either joining, or at the very least helping, the "insurgents".
