What people forget is the American citizens. The citizens of the United States own 48% of the world's firearms. Or approximately 500+ million. So, let's say, at minimum, an invading army would face 170 million armed citizens.

we also have TRILLIONS of rounds of ammo, including green tip (steelcore) and armor piercing. In many/most cases, the guns owned in the private sector are much better than the standard issue military rifles. For example, the military have M16s, and we have $2000-$7000 high end AR15s, sniper rifles, high capacity everything, night vision, Level IV body armor, etc.

That's not taking into account that 4.6% of the united states population is hunters (15million) now their marksmanship would vary however among them at least 2 million would likely be highly to moderately accurate at ranges longer than eight hundred feet. So we would have a group of mixed military and civilian marksman that would be equal to China's current military roster of 2 million active duty service members. Then add in the tried and true Redneck Ingenuity of the american farmer, Combines, Plows, Tractors and other farming equipment could be easily added onto and made into killing machines that harvested men instead of crops.

Private citizens in the US hold more firepower than the US armed forces and law enforcement forces combined. And the majority of them know how to use what they've got. Be it hunters, people who do recreational shooting, or just those of us who live out in the sticks and sometimes have to put down a threatening animal. Plus all the people with less pure intent. Even if we're normally at odds, if we've got a common enemy, nobody's goinna be trying to arrest some street gang for helping defend the homeland from invaders. The main problem with this whole video is it kept approaching it from the point of view of where they could land how difficult it would be, and although all of that stuff is true, the reality is that not a single ship would ever get to THE coast either the East or the West with a single ship, not one. Would make it across the ocean. Although in the long run, it wouldn't make a difference. This video might be more close to reality if in fact, they were talking about this 50 years ago. As it stands right now, the United States of America is aware of 100% of every ship that Russia owns including their submarines and where they are located. If they decided to send their navy along with their troops to either coast of America, they would be found out and realized within 1 to 2 days, and they would not even survive the trip across because america is not going to sit there and wait to see where they attacked, they would simply wipe out every single ship with. Our huge navy and our Air Force. So most of this video becomes irrelevant because it started with a premise that could never happen. And that's anybody from any country in the world making landfall in America. The whole video was based on a bunch of what if and there was not a single what if that could have happened to begin with. And all of this is without mentioning the fact that there are 330 million American citizens, and about 90% of them own weapons, and in fact, there are more guns of any and all kinds than there are citizens in America. That means that per capita there is more than one gun per person in the United States.

Besides the two oceans protecting us from both a logistics angle even if they established a beachhead on either coast, but also a region in which the enemy would have to go thru a gauntlet of our Navy to get that beachhead, and honestly I don't see that ever happening. The reason why Russia has a tendency to invade its neighbors, all the while calling those territories Russian territories is because it's landlocked for the most part and is surrounded by what it perceives as enemies. Now then, if by some chance an "across the pond" adversary did manage to establish a beachhead, they'd have to contend with three things. Our own military, fighting on our own soil. We have bases all over the country, and getting and moving forces around by our extensive road network, and navigable rivers if need be, would be a nightmare for any invader. The second problem would be the sheer number of armed civilians with military style weapons like the AR-15 and other AK variants. In most other countries, including Russia, the civilians aren't armed. So one wonders why the Democrats are hell bent on disarming Americans. Do they know something we don't? And the third problem an invader would have is negotiating our vast differences in geographic terrain. There are literally millions of places to hide, set up ambushes, and create chokepoints in America for both the military and civilians. If you ever get around to watching the Red Dawn (1984) film, you'll see a part of that latter point, where the group of ragtag teenagers fought off the invaders by just fighting them in the mountains of Colorado. And perhaps a fourth problem of invading America is you guessed it, the sheer size of the country. If the war in Ukraine is anything to go by, if Russia who borders the country is having such a hard time taking over a country that's only 6% the size of the US. (Ukraine - 233K miles² vs America 3.8 million miles²) then imagine trying to conquer all of America. It would take 20+ years of relatively steady progress. And Ukraine for the most part is just Russian steepe. The US has mountains, hills, deserts, and tons of rivers. Hell just blowing a few bridges here and there would stop an invading army cold. A lot of our rivers are over a mile wide, and the bridges to get over them would create those chokepoints. The only way a foreign military could get across them easily would be by using airborne troops, but you gotta have air supremacy, but our Airforce and Navy Air Wings are the largest airforce in the world combined. We can put more aircraft on one tarmac (airport runway) than most nations airforce are big. So with all that said, I just don't see any across the pond military trying an invasion of America ever. Now, if they somehow secretly built up a force in Central or Southern America, that might be a little different, but I don't see that happening either as our Military Intelligence would spot the transport ships and build up via satellites and whatnot before they got too big. If not, then that'd be a bigger failure in our intelligence apparatus than 9/11. So yeah, I think we're pretty much safe from an invasion. And like the video started off with, an invasion of Russia would be almost as difficult, but not quite as bad. It's population isn't armed, most aren't even political, there's not that many rivers to negotiate and smaller streams that have been problems for both Ukraine and Russia, we have special bridging equipment vehicles for that. I always wondered if an invasion of Russia from the east would work. It might, but the piss pour infrastructure would be a problem in moving equipment and stuff.

I completely agree with your logic, but why do you say this? "So one wonders why the Democrats are hell bent on disarming Americans. " Seriously, name ONE ELECTED DEMOCRAT who wants anything more than registering guns, background checks and a waiting period. That's not a joke, that's a serious question. Because "the Democrats" are NOT COMING FOR ANYONE'S GUNS! They never have! It's insane "be scared and vote for me instead" campaigning by various R's, that's all it is. We can have reasonable discussions about whether anyone needs 15 guns... but if you can keep them safely locked away so no one accidentally kills someone due to your laziness or incompetence... I don't know a single Dem who cares how many guns you have. And you have to admit, no other nation on Earth has more school shootings and mass gun murders PER DAY than America does. We're doing SOMETHING wrong here if we have more incidents of gun violence than Somalia or Yemen or Syria!

The Russians and Chinese JUST rolled a few missile cruisers and destroyers close to the Alaska coastline (08/05/2023), as if they have even a REMOTE chance of successfully attacking the American mainland by sea. The US Navy saw them off pretty quickly. More Communist fronting. The Soviet Union played this game for DECADES without ever causing the US pause. And Eielson Air Force Base has 54 F-35 fighters, fully kitted out with missiles, just ready to take to the air, (not to mention the F-22s at Elmendorf AFB). China and Russia trying to flex is almost humorous at this point.

There are between 30M & 50M law abiding gun owners in the US. No general is going to send their troops against those odds, not to mention those people who didnt believe in gun ownership who convert in order to protect themselves. Even if it was China, Russia, North Korea, and Iran (the only 4 nations I can think of that would love the chance to take us down.) Also, we have millions of veterans like myself disabled or not would reawaken our skills to add to that as well. If doing it alone wasnt enough we have allies worldwide to help even if their ships and planes have to land in Canada first.

3:54 Just for your consideration, don't you think the people in the pentagon don't have 20 'secert' plans to counter whatever is shown here? It's an open secert that junior officers do such mental excerises in training. And that the better plans are kept on file as contingency plans. Maybe even used to get funding for 'just in case' projects. Seriously, plans for a zombie apocalypse or attack by mole people are kept in the pentagon. Though the details are kept secert from the public for both political and practical reasons.

Attacking the USA mainland could be waking a sleeping giant though… this video only accounts for government military personnel, not citizens and militias. Also the USA accounts for nearly half of the worlds private firearm ownership with about a third of adults owning a firearm. So hostile militaries coming to the US mainland would have a much bigger threat to worry about than the US military personnel

I know this is an old video but most of these videos fails to recognize that US also has over 200 armed militias. Almost every state has its own militia and they are armed to defend the state and America. So if someone did make it to the main land and break the US military they still have the national guards, state control militias and citizens to contend with.

You mention Texans being an issue when all the gulf states are open carry states, meaning we can carry guns on our persons or in our vehicles. Mississippi and Alabama are free to conceal so you don't even know who has a gun. Also these states are full of skilled hunters who routinely take out deer. These deer may seem stupid but they can sense you from much farther away than a human. Hunters wait patiently without moving just to get a trophy. Think of how we would treat invaders.

I have actually thought a lot about this concept the last few years as I was contemplating a book about a WWIII scenario. I heard no mention of nuclear weapons or bombs. If you want to destroy the US you go nuclear. You send enough and the US couldn’t stop them all, altho they would try. Or you could try bombing the coasts, getting rid of the ports and creating your own port. Hard to do as our sonar and satellites would see it coming. But I think there is technology on the horizon, if not already here, to make missiles and/or bombs invisible to detection. Or you use both methods in a massive takeover attempt, and keep the military busy, while using a smaller group to infiltrate elsewhere, either flying too low for radar or using very small ships/boats that look like personal yachts or something. Even still that would be difficult so most likely if one wants tot air over the world they would just try to take out the US, rather than try to take over. TikTok is doing a pretty good job of that, playing the long game. Few more generations and it would be quite easy I think. Sure there are a lot of patriotic people out there ready to arm themselves NOW. But will there still be in another 50 yrs? I’m not so sure. All I see in videos are people who hate the US. Those people will not fight, other than to help themselves. The most time that passes the more people there seems to be like this. They would be thrilled for another country to invade and would most likely switch sides very quickly. Either by choice or give up easily if captured. Other countries could easily recruit those people now to work for them from the inside. I don’t think it would be difficult to do. They think they are “making a difference” when in reality they are dooming us all. So it doesn’t matter how many gun wielding people there are here to defend. There will be more that would be happy to be invaded since apparently the US is evil these days. So just wait. Another 50 or 100 yrs and the US will no longer be a super power. May not even take that long. 😕

Agreed. Add to that a combination of EMP attacks taking out our satellites, radar and sonar (eyes, ears and communication) and then just land anywhere strategic. Especially on the left coast.

Being overly pessimistic I think. For one thing, in 50 years I seriously doubt if Russia will exist in any form similar to what it is today ( which is laughably inept)-- Witness their humiliation in Ukraine. China would do well to defeat Vietnam, and/or Japan, let alone the US no matter the invasion strategy. In the event of a nuclear attack, it wouldn't take a new Einstein to know where the missiles came from, even if using some sort of cloaking technology. Finally, you're underestimating younger Americans I think. The current period of "wokeness" won't last forever. It's being proven a joke in many ways right now, so cheer up.

All of America you'd have to worry about. The real reason they never take our guns away is because there would be a gun behind every blade of grass waiting for you. Most folks don't understand how ill prepared, in many ways, Russia is. Their food reserves are definitely not the best. The don't outfit their ships with adequate food, barely enough to keep all hands going. In past scientific missions, with Americans on board, food scarcity was definitely an issue. I can't imagine it has improved in the last 10 to 15 years. They tend to push their vodka on their folks to help stiffle complaints, yet you see them still today when news gets out. Things I learned from our researchers that went their were definitely eye opening. My bosses experience on a scientific mission along the northern coast was interesting and he wasnt only person from our university that went there over the years. Rationing has gone on for years in many places .

Most Americans, including me own a gun and most more than 1 gun, especially in the midwest and south. A lot of people in the midwest and south, would be excited to have any excuse to use their weapons which include those that are military grade and illegal. Our huge veteran population would have something to do too. Getting America to go down would have to be in other ways that have little to do with an actual military invasion. A military invasion by any country would be pretty funny even if all countries from all angles all at the same time. Americans would still fight with zeal and win because our idea of what freedom is means more than individual lives do. Weird maybe but it is in our DNA.

Here a little perspective to the civilian firepower alone Just in the State of Michigan 585,595 Firearm /Archery deer licenses were sold in 2022 , 303,087 deer taken State wide. If you did a State by state calculation of just the firearm Deer licenses sold in each state for 2022 that would give you a number that is only a fraction of the amount we truly have. And these are just the legal hunting weapons or long guns . Haha I found it. Approximately 15.9 Million paid hunting licenses were sold in the United States In 2023 Up from last year’s 15.4 million Chew on that 🦌🤔
