It IS standard behavior, for normal, sane, responsible non-criminal folks without authority issues that compel them to violate requirements, laws, norms and orders. I believe in every U.S. state, by law you have to have your license, registration and insurance with you while driving.

The car looks like an Audi RS7. Those things go for north of $120,000 usually here in the USA. They're usually driven by very successful businessmen, lawyers, athletes....and drug dealers. If this car isn't seen in the parking lot of a Whole Foods (it's natural habitat), it's a red flag.

The US Supreme Court has ruled that Police are ABSOLUTELY allowed to insist on proper identification [License, Registration, and Insurance Card] during legitimate traffic stops.

Depends on the state what is required, but most require a Drivers License, proof of insurance, and registration. In my state, registration isn't required because they can easily look that up via VIN number of the car, or license plate. Even insurance cards aren't as mandatory as that also can be easily looked up. But the DL is on me at all times - driving, biking, buying alcohol, voting, etc.

You are right as far as the law is concern. And the more you have, the greater the penalty. So here in the states what they've done is codified it by virtue of making a certain amount or more drugs in your possessiona, the charge becomes, "intent to sell". That jumps it up to a felony.

I carry my license all the time, except once on New Years Eve I forgot my purse. And of course I was pulled over. I had to do a sobriety test, but I hadn't been drinking, so they let me go. I was traumatized lol!

If a body or body part is found then it’s whole other thing. The officers have to call in a medical examiner and full crime scene investigation team. They take custody of the body then it takes weeks for any forensic evidence to come out. They take the case to homicide or Special victims depending on the nature of the crime. The department dispatches a pair of detectives usually a veteran and a rookie in their first or second year as a detective. They would take the case from there, interviews, questions, that sorta thing. If it’s drugs then they call in the drug enforcement task force or VICE depending on situation.

I always carry my license because it doubles as my ID card needed for buying alcohol, prescription drugs, and a bunch of other stuff. It's easier to just keep it in the wallet and never leave home without the wallet.

While I don't condone transporting illegal drugs or weapons, if you are going to do so, at least drive like you have common sense. That means no erratic lane changes , driving the speed limit, etc.... nothing to bring attention to myself. This guy is going away for the long haul. No court is going to let him off with all that evidence. Goodbye son!

Thanks for the guffaw-- I burst out laughing when you said, "This is embarrassing, Randy" when he got caught at the station when he got stuck in the car, having tangled himself up while trying to slip his cuffs. I laughed because it took you this long to say he was embarrassing himself, after he, first, drove recklessly, including, lol, almost clipping a cop car; second, drove sans license and registration; third, what kind of dumbass drives with an open container of alcohol and a some weed, both in plain sight with the window down, while in his vehicle is an arsenal-- including 100 rounds!-- and no license to carry AND, as the final touch, carrying $100k worth of coke in the compartment under the trunk? I'm surprised he didn't try to convince the cops that was solely for his own personal use, lol (possession instead of the more serious distribution charge). Who the hell is his supplier, to be dumber than he is, trusting this vacuum-brain to deal his product...and risking getting caught his own self as a result? And then the first thing Randy does when caught driving without his license and registration is, classy dude that he is, is try to create a man-to-man rapport with the cops, by talking about being on his way to f--- a b---- (which, give him his due, was probably the least dumb thing he did, given the fact that some men do bond over such charming phrases and attitudes toward women (as some women attempt to do with negative talk about/references to men). The guy's a 100% winner, as anyone who judges people by such things knows. On the bright side, think how distinguished he'll look, when he finally emerges from prison, with his grey hair and white-streaked beard-- he can look forward to f---ing a whole lotta b----es.

Where I live, it's illegal to go out in public without ID. I think it's because if you are in an accident or otherwise incapacitated and unable to speak, you can be identified.

As far as I know. Barring you having proof of it on your phone that they can look up. You have to have your Drivers License on you. Yes, officers can look up the information no problem on their computers. Excluding the idiots who want to do the sovereign citizen stuff (which by the way has never worked out for them ever when it goes to trial) Only time I've never brought my wallet with my ID in it was i happened to just run to the store real quick with friends or something and I simply forgot to grab it, otherwise I don't leave the house without it.

I DO NOT walk out my house without my wallet, my drivers license is in it, so is my concealed carry permits, and since I do not leave my home without my firearm, I MUST have my drivers license on me!

Absolutely, your Driver's license should be in your wallet. The Vehicle Registration and Insurance Card should be in the glove box [or somewhere in the vehicle] AT ALL TIMES. That's required by Law.

Well, as a felon he is unable to be in possession of any firearm, licensed or not. He is automatically disqualified for any legal firearm in every state of the Union. And having Drugs and Guns in close proximity with each other is a violation of its own.
