The book he got was an SAT book, the Standardized Aptitude Test everyone in America has to take. You have something similar I think. Luckily, most colleges ignore the score you get on the SAT, besides the amount of bs studying you have to do. Clandestine was literally the only word I still use.

America has its own version of the Alps called the Rocky Mountains. They can hit an elevation of almost 15K feet above sea level. We have hundreds of ski resorts,some of the best in the world.

Yep, even in Hawaii. It has 10 climate zones out of 14 in the world (though there are a couple of other zoning systems, it’s the most fine-tuned). You can go to the desert or ski in the Hawaiian Islands.

The SAT is a college entrance exam. Many colleges and universities use it to evaluate those who apply to their learning institution. So getting a practice text for the test, while practical, is a little mean. But then it all depends on how much you want it.

However some Asian families are extremists about the best of the best SAT or ACT scores. The pressure to be that place is near unaliving.

I was going to explain the same Almost all "accredited" universities & colleges use this score for entrance qualifications. It's an acronym for Scholastic Aptitude Test. I guess the closet would be O level & A level tests that UK students take. It's a major theme or subject for many episodes in US television shows (e.g. Gilmore girls, American Housewife, Glee,etc .

The last year I ever put up Christmas lights, I spent two hours using Christmas light clips, to clip in strand after strand of lights all around the border of our house. Got to the last strand, and boom, the whole thing came down. I wanted to punch a wall, but I spent another hour and a half putting them all back up, and reinforcing them with duct tape and nails. Christmas day came, went away to our family's Christmas dinner, put the lights on, everything looked great, came back after what had been a super cold and windy night, to find half the strands on the ground, and the other half hanging on at an angle across the house for dear life. That was it for me and lights. Now I just put up a wreath with some wired lights on the front door. I can't be bothered.

Ya, I hate to see people fall, too. I worry about them being hurt, and they probably are. Or anyone being shamed (I guess unless they’re a bully and getting a come uppance), or embarrassed, or mocked. I don’t like seeing people being laughed at, all the more when they might be hurt, physically or mentally.

My mom and I do all sorts of Christmas baking. Chex mix, sugar cookies, buckeyes, chocolate covered oreos, baklava, and napoleon cremes. We also do prank gifts. This year involves duck tape 😂

I grew up in Los Angeles. In high school we had district sponsored ski lessons. My history teacher taught me to ski at the nearby slopes and I've been a skier ever since. Skiing all over!

Just a quick note for your Mum on garbage disposals: shove all your food scraps, except bones, down into the drain. Turn on the water and keep it running. Turn on the disposal and let it grind away till all the scraps are gone (only takes a few seconds). From there, the ground up scraps and water drain into the central sewer drain of your house ( it goes the same way as the toilet water). It's quite convenient, no soggy scraps in the trash. BUT, they do get hung up sometimes. I've lived in two houses with garbage disposals and have had them removed. They are hard to clean, can be smelly and you need a professional for repairs. Also, they take up quite a bit of space beneath the sink. That's it for today! I'll be back again soon. HAPPY NEW YEAR!

SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test) is a test you take if you're heading to college (Uni) most schools will ask what your SAT scores were especially as they are still considered or required for certain scholarships. So he gave him a SAT practice guide for a gift.

6:37 my parents got us a glow in the dark Ouija board as a prank for Xmas and the boys wanted no part of it but my sisters and I took it to our oldest sister's room and all played with it together asking stupid questions and using it to bully each other. 😂😂😂 (we took the beginning and end seriously though having consumed scary media about the terrible things that could happen from not following the rules.) We only did it twice though before our oldest sister moved out for college, and took it with her.

AH, forgot to tell you where I am: 5 miles north of border with Mexico, in Mission, Texas. You think driving an hour is a lot? HAH! I can't even get out of Texas in a whole day!! At least 8 hours to get to Louisiana, via Houston. At least 8 hours to get to New Mexico, via El Paso. And more than 10 hours to get to Oklahoma, via Dallas. Obviously, I stay home a LOT! HAHAHAHA! Lewis that was a tied up live tree. You cut the string and they do that. They are tied up to make them easy to move and easier to get them in the door. We still have places in America that raise and sell living Christmas trees.
