Our politicians have given cross party blanket dispensation to anything related to a protected groups religious ideology. As I understand it the bit of the materials used to "construct" the relevant Holy book that related to stoning as the punishment of women (e.g. for the "infidelity" of sleeping with their real non believer husband after having been captured and raped) were lost and as only one old man witness remembered it, so the tradition had to creep in by the back door of Sharia. This happened along with Sharia concession allowing girls below the age of puberty not to be bathed after molestation (with permission of male guardian) but giving the advice that it is still best practice to do so that she gets used to it for later. Thanks to MPs that sort of popular Sharia is sold via online bookstores (including E-books). The anti discrimination laws are being used as a sword not a shield.
