Hard to disagree with Trump on that. Why should the USA have to keep foreign criminals? Same in the UK or anywhere else. Criminals should be extradited back to their home countries. If those countries treat them like criminals, then so be it.

Very interesting discussion about our failure to count the population accurately. I really think we need proper border checks and an in-person census. I suspect that in-person census enumerators would highlight a number of issues re. housing as well as picking up on more overlooked immigrants...

How about the UK requiring a Passport to get an employment with severe employer fines. The US E-Verify System could a complimentary confirmation to a Passport requirement. The UK needs a once a decade census. This should be part of total governance reform.

I dont see the problem with ID cards. It can provide so much more efficienct for governemnt. It should act as a driving licence, draw pensions amd benefits and act as a 1 stop shop. Everyone has one form another of ID on them

We all have NI numbers, that's an effective ID to everyone. There is no need for a new system when a existing one is in place, that also ignores all other ID's we have today.

@liaminwales totally agree, and that could be something else on the cards. The problem is they stopped issuing them out as physical cards years ago. I think a one-stop shop ID card is the most efficient way.

@ NI is the one stop ID, a lot of data is tied to it that cant be faked. Past that everyone I know has a passport or driving licence, it's normal to show ID for a lot of things today. ID's are not a problem, it's political will.

Both Panama and Costa Rica could REQUEST the US annex Panama and Costa Rica as Commonwealth possessions just like Puerto Rico. Looking at him from the UK and listening to what he's saying Trump really looks little, if any different to poor, "Bewildered," old Joe and just as clueless. A sad old man, drowning in nostalgia for a time, (mostly imaginary,) when the living was easy, (unless you were an American having to hide out in Europe to avoid getting drafted to Vietnam or unless you happened just to be black and so on,) and America was still loved and respected and envied by the rest of the world. The American dream was always myth for most people, even for most Americans but myth of America as a place of justice, opportunity and of succor and refuge for the oppressed and the downtrodden is powerful one and one that refused to die easily. Then it turned out that instead of America helping these people to live the dream, America is spending trillions $ on supporting a country that is committing genocide and the rest of the world is turning away as one; in utter disgust. It isn't just about money.
