I had one of these years ago. I added a genuine .303 Mk 4 sniper cheek rest on the stock and a modern telescopic sight. Was a great bush rifle for deer and pigs. All that rubber butt pad ever did was concentrate the recoil to make it more uncomfortable to fire.

Always wanted to fool around with 303. Those jungle carbines are very appealing. Love old surplus. Awesome stuff, thanks for sharing.

Well done. You covered a great deal of info concerning fakes. That info will be of great interest and value to anyone interested in these cool old rifles. Anywhere there is money to be made fakes will be encountered.

@@Lowballinoutdoorz Maybe if you have enough of them available through collecting, friends, associates, etc. a series could be made highlighting things to watch for on collectable firearms

Nothing wrong with an honest reproduction firearm that advertises itself as such. I'd rather buy a legitimate reproduction that is a new firearm than a real, old one that is deteriorated and not safe to shoot. Plus, legit reproduction are cheaper.

I had a fake one, it couldn't cycle a magazine without jamming and with the front sight drifted all the way over I still had to hold off. Traded it off for a SKS. Yours is much better.

I love sks as well. But that sucks yours would jam up. Thanks for watchin bud!

As nifty and handy as the British Enfield No.5 mark 1 was, military historians are at a loss to explain why the British adopted a new bolt action and the Soviets the bolt action M44 so late in World War Two. Clearly the semi-automatic infantry rifle was the wave of the future. More, the intermediate power, shorter battle cartridge was the key to future infantry assault rifles.

5" group at 50 yards with open sights? Either your barrel is worned off or you are bad shooter. My "Jungle" will group 1-1.5" groups at 50 yards with open sights and the same groups scoped at 100. Some people complain lack of accuracy, but never had with mine.
@thearmoredgeorgian27362 жыл бұрын
I could see this being a good hog hunting weapon. The short barrel will make it easier to navigate the woods, and the bayonet could definitely come in handy if you end up getting charged
@Lowballinoutdoorz2 жыл бұрын
Haha, it's a great piece for sure

I never stacked the rounds and never had a rim jam... I'd like to see you make a video and try to create a rim jam.

Mine's a '46 with matching #s, receiver and magazine. I handload and accurate @150+, got a deer @ 176, one round, dropped on the spot. If you update vid, point out the specifics which prove it's original and not a fake.

Alex I thought you were a shooter lol. I expected you to stack em at 5o yards. Obviously the longer barreled one but the 303 was a sniper rifle.

5 inch spread at 50 yards. Yes that is absolutely horrible. 10 inch spread at 100 yards. 20 inch spread at 200 and so forth. Either horrible marksmanship fundamentals or this rifle is cursed lol
