has been well received to date, I was disappointed by the audio of my Panasonic Lumix TZ10 compact camera. It does a great job of recording HD video but the audio is simply not up to capturing the nuances of engine startup and the take-off roll.
So on my most recent Jamaic trip I took along the heavy artillery :) - a much larger Panasonic HDC-HS300 semi pro camcorder with built-in Dolby Digital 5.1 microphone. It does a fantastic job of reproducing the audio - in particular the deep bass of the engine start. For best results I recommend you use headphones or quality speakers.
This flight was flown by aircraft G-VIIP, which is a Boeing 777-236 powered by 2 x General Electric GE90-85B turbofan engines. I flew on the Rolls Royce powered G-YMMR on the way out -

As BA have relaxed their restrictions on the use of portable electronic equipment (other Airlines please take note ...) I was able to capture the complete pushback, engine start, taxi and takeoff into a fantastic sunset.
The climb-out view of Jamaica over the southeast corner, as seen from the left hand side of the aircraft is simply awesome - beats Barbados I'm afraid! The flight was pretty heavily loaded and the take-off on this occasion seemed particularly powerful.

Apologies for the voice that can be heard at the beginning of the video. This was the passenger sitting adjacent to me, who was still on his mobile phone at the beginning of the pushback.
