Awesome sound. Can anyone explain why the engines start to change tone a little as the plane rotates on takeoff?
@GarlandTexasSpotter20247 ай бұрын
This is called trust reduction, it helps reduce noise, keep control speed, and reduce air pollution.
@BLACKzj527 ай бұрын
@@GarlandTexasSpotter2024 I'm talking about right at rotation not at top of climb out. Specifically at the 8:50 mark.

Holy cow, this video is 8 years old but this might be one of the clearest GE90 sound I've seen. Usually, when they go TO/GA, most people's camera mic would peaked and it'd just partially deafen the sound, making the sound very unclear. Only until they put in the climb power, that's when the sound is lowered enough for the camera mic to pick up properly and we can actually hear the sound clearly. But this video picked up the TO/GA sound beautifully. Very clear, from Take off to Climb.

Wait, it flew pass Port Royal! How is it that there wasn't a turn?!

Wait? When did the flight turn around because it flew past the airport? Is it just British Airways that approaches this way?

G-YMME has the best sounding Trent 800s in the BA fleet. Shame I can’t film it as its a Gatwick based aircraft now. G-YMMK also used to be on par, however I believe they changed the engines on that one. The next closest one is G-YMMT which is getting there!

Holy smokes! Did I just find the angriest, most violent sounding 777 takeoff on KZbin? Seemed like the takeoff started as close to the edge of runway as possible (far before the piano keys), gained far more speed than usual before rotating, and continually tried to calm down after getting airborne, only to spool back up again..... this truly was a max-power takeoff. Best on KZbin?

Great video and sound, well captured, thank you. Despite being a frequent flyer, I still get a little nervous when they reduce to climb power. Those RB211 Trent’s really sound like they’re grinding metal, love it!

Was the plane really shaking that hard during and after takeoff? At first, I thought it was a rough runway, but shaky video continues after liftoff. This makes it difficult to watch. Assuming you have no ailment such as Parkinson's, you should do better in making stable video. Here's a helpful tip: rest the corner of your phone on a finger, with that finger resting against the window (out of camera view obviously). As they used to say in photography class - "good content, but lousy execution and capture, the result of poor technique."
@CamViesky2 жыл бұрын
What an odd approach. I suppose this flight was coming from Europe so the plane would be coming from the right side of JA rather than the left and over the north coast.
@xsentinel30442 жыл бұрын
Yes if you look on Flightradar24 this is the normal approach for BA2263 unless the runways switch around which is rare
