As a Salvadorian in NYC, the Hispanic/Latino community in the USA is massive and if you can do a try video on every country and find so many similarities but also so many differences. We all have our differences and opinions but when you're with a latino you kno you gonna have a good time. We love drinking and dancing so there's not much of a difference between Latinos and Brits lol. I heard Daz say on the react channel that he knows some Salvadorians so ha should try to get his hands in some pupusas and try them with Mike and Dave. Mescal, Tequila both come from the same agave plant. True Mescal is a little smoother that tequila. Traditional Mescal will have a worm in the bottle. A good representation of Mescal is El Rojo Mescal. You don't need to do the lime and salt with a quality tequila like Don Julio. It's that smooth. That's like putting ketchup on a chateau briand.

9:30 a lot of the border cities have significant crime issues because the cartels use them as drug smuggling hubs. Dave mentioned Juarez, which is one example of that. Across from McAllen is Reynosa, which is another example. Daz, you were smart to turn around. So much of Mexico is perfectly safe and absolutely beautiful and full of amazing people. But avoid those border towns.

The Lime, shot, salt technique isn't the traditional way to drink tequila. It was made up to cover the taste of bad tequila (which is anything that isn't 100% agave, like Jose Cuervo especial). The real traditional way to drink it is by sipping followed by a sangrita accompaniment (which is kind of like a sweet bloody mary). Luckily, good tequila is becoming more well-known (which I was relieved to see that's what you were drinking here). But I would recommend using a good sangrita recipe (sangrita, not sangria), like the one on Taste Tequila, and give it a try! Enjoy! tastetequila.com/2010/sangrita-de-miguel-tequilas-companion/
