An Aussie here, from Glebe in inner Sydney....Congratulations on 1000 subs!! Amazing! tho not surprising...We love your positivity and enthusiasm, and your enjoyment of our beautiful country, and I hope that you continue to do well here....Im sure with your fun and outgoing personalities you will...We love to see happy couples, and we love our dogs....Pico is so cute, and lively, and hes picked up your warm positivity....Your videos make us smile! To go from 500 likes to 1000 in such a short space of time, shows just how popular you both are Joe and 'Carol' wink, wink...BTW, is it Cody with a K, or C? If you get a chance, look up John Williamsons version of an Aussie favourite song, called True Blue...It will tell you all you need to know about this term....Cheers....

From Melbourne - Just to prepare you . . . Brisbane is lovely in the winter months but gets hot and HUMID in the sub-tropical summer. You will be very thankful for air-conditioning ! My child and family live on the Gold Coast very near the beach and love it there. In the far tropical north of Australia, which includes part of Queensland, there are only two seasons - the hot-wet and the hot-dry. Many Victorians, especially retirees, travel north to Queensland for holidays in the southern winter. Some retirees stay there for months. They are named (by Queenslanders) the 'Mexicans' because they come from south of the border. A slang saying - "A few roos (kangaroos) loose in the top paddock".

With the nozzle in the open position, invert the bottle, push the (conveniently pointed) nozzle into the centre of the pie. Squeeze until you see sauce backflow from the hole. Remove sauce bottle. Aussie slang is often rhyming slang, you were eating 'dogs eyes' if you went for a swim you need to watch out for 'the noahs arks' after a swim you might go down 'the frog and toad' for a drink at the 'rubbity dub'. Australian rhyming slang can fill a small book, years ago I had two American backpackers staying with me, one of them, Randy [he shortened it to Andy while he was in Australia] was so fascinated by rhyming slang he bought a book on it and practiced it all the time. He told me while he was on a tour boat on the barrier reef he approached a guide and asked 'seen any noahs arks', he thought it was hilarious that the guide didn't bat an eye lid and replied 'not today'.
