The Irwins are a remarkable family. Steve would be so proud of them. He died on my 54th birthday. His death was an immeasurable loss but his family is continuing his wonderful work.

This is a coincidence. Today I found an injured possum in my yard and called the RSPCA and when they collected him, they said they were taking him to Australia Zoo to see if they could rehabilitate him.

Last time we were there, a few years ago, we were walking along a secluded pathway near the cassowary enclosure when along came the Irwin’s in the opposite direction. Robert and Bindi were only little kids then. They were friendly and said hi to us. 😀

Male water dragons can grow to >1m, and are bigger than females (0.6m). We used to have a couple that could jump 15ft off a roof onto the grass, landing with a thud.

The secret to calling skippy is you need a gumleaf and blow in it. 🤫 You got prime spot for viewing the croc show. Feels like you're right there watching it with you guys. Now I don't have to go visit as I've already felt like I've been there now. Great camera work guys. 👍
