I used to visit the Big Pineapple with my family way back in the 1970s. Obviously, it's expanded since then. Macadamia world was just around the corner, literally, I think it's still there. Oh, and the cutest Australian animal is one you've already met, the Wall-Puppy otherwise known as the huntsman spider.

I remember going there on the way to Bundaberg as a kid in the 70s . I thought it was amazing. We got a giant pencil there😅. Seemed like all those little tourists attractions had similar sought of souvenirs in the gift shops back then.

Aussie couple from Brisbane here... if you love quokkas then Rotto is where you need to go. We visited Rottnest Island (Rotto) a few months ago. Dawn and dusk best times to see them. You won't be disappointed!

The Quokka is the cutest because apart from being small and fuzzy it always looks like it is smiling. Willie wagtails give them a run for their money. Thorny Devils might be a favourite depending on what you like. Little Corellas are cute if you think a gang of hyperactive children are cute.

If you want to see some wild dingos take a trip up to Fraser Island. You can take a day trip tour from Noosa. They drive up the beach from Noosa and across the ferry to Fraser and tour around the island

"Rubyberry" (Mirracle Fruit), would be the fruit you are thinking of, I would suggest. Native to a region in Africa I think. You can find it sold fresh here if you are lucky but it's not at all a common fruit to find. Super doubtful that you will find it on the Sunny I would think but you never know your luck :).

When I lived in Nambour the Big pineapple was a huge eatery and souvenir shop. The food was terrible and overpriced. Princess Diana actually visited it on a trip to Australia and was driven around the grounds in their train, but that was before I lived there. My granddaughters liked to play in the pineapple. It used to have little displays about the history of the place. Glad to see someone has put it to better use. The animal with the mouth open was a caiman or another in the croc family. Not Australian and not a crocodile. American alligators are far less aggressive than Australian crocodiles, particularly salt water crocs. That half empty pool the alligator was in was dirty and awful. Yes, they regulate their body temperature with the mouth open. When you're looking at animals, please say the name or focus on the sign on their cages. Also, when you wave the camera around it makes me feel dizzy. Cutest - pygmy possum sugar glider. That's a desolate zoo for the poor animals. Mostly dry and cages are too small. I winder if the same people who ran such a terrible eatery originally are running the zoo? If so, it figures. The red panda is from the snow and is way too hot in that climate. It needs air conditioning or ice water all the time. Potoroos hide in thick vegetation. A dingo IS a dog. Doesn't matter what the sign says. They breed with dogs - the Australian cattle dog is part dingo. They bred them with dogs to get an animal that could tolerate the Australian summers. Dingos are originally from Asia. If you look at the Asian wild dog, it's the same. Wolves also breed with dogs, so they are all related and not distinct at all. Their progeny is not sterile. The dangly fruit was not Australian. The fruit is called Miracle Fruit. Look up the season it's availble in Australia, probably in the tropics more than further south.

Panning takes patience to do. However slow you think you are moving the camera and how it looks to your naked eye, halve the slowness down again. All new to camerawork make this same error. It does take a little practice.
