My son was 3 years old. One day, he was watching Barney, the purple dinosaur, teaching kids 911. He dialed 911, and the police came. My son told them he wanted to be a cop when he grew up. Mind you, he was 3. Today, he is a police detective.

That was adorable! The last little girl was concerned with what was appropriate to wear when they got there. Bless her sweet little heart. I hope her dad is OK. ❤️🩹💝

You can tell the last one touched Daz's heart... he had a heart attack before, and you can see how cute he found the final video...

The first and last ones are the best. The boy who called the cops on his dad was hilarious and the girl at the end was funny, but also handled that situation better than many adults would have. Great reaction guys!

At 7 or 8 yrs old I dialed 911 just curious if it was really the police. Suffice it to say I got a scary lecturing from the woman operator and NEVER dialed it again 😁... until I actually needed it as an adult. lol It's a rite of passage for many kids, like putting something metal in an electric outlet. 🍴🔌😅

Many people don't realize that an old cell phone even if it isn't attached to a phone plan will still call 911 if the battery is charged. It's a law that phones have to be able to dial 911 regardless if they are on a cell phone plan.
@anyexpat Жыл бұрын
Interesting, I just checked and in the UK we do not have the same option. If its not on a plan you cannot dial.
@firefighterchick Жыл бұрын
@anyexpat Wow, I assumed that it would be the same in the UK. It was the same with pay phones(public phone booths where you put coins to place calls) in the US.

@anyexpat l looked as well so think the answers were that in the UK you get call 999 without a cell phone plan. Some agreed with you so I don't know. Plus apparently, if I were in the UK and dialed 911(or 112) it would still route to your 999 system. I guess they figured that tourists might in a panic during an emergency call the emergency number they are used to.

Yah, my older one is at a shitty local preschool with useless teachers and they still do math, writing, need to know all their personal info, etc so imagine good schools

The closest i ever got to an emergency call as a kid was to a vet after i found a blackbird struggling with a broken wing, they spent the 2 mins just laughing at me, i felt so embarrassed 😳. This was the cutest video, the last one was the best 911 call ive heard yet 💗✌🏻

I grew up in NC and we had an area code of 919 growing up... and we grew up with landlines.... so you just dialed... and plenty of times you dial too fast.... and you get 911. I have accidentally called 911 so many times in my life. Its not such a problem now with cell phones!

All my extended family lives in Philadelphia and we had to move to Chicago when I was a kid for dad's job and they always say we talk with a Chicago accent and my sisters and me don't understand it cause we thought we didn't have an accent.

i did something similar when I was 5. I was playing with a disconnected phone, plugged it in and pressed a putton with a fire next to it, thinking it wouldn't work. Some picked up and I hung up immediately. Obviously they called back and my mom found out. I was in so much trouble.

Love these heh I’d say you should do 999 ones but they’re more sad than anything… and the first kid would make a good cop, snitching and not minding getting loved ones in trouble… bless them though, sharp kids too, good dispatchers too, and the #2 one, this is foked up but she wouldn’t need to worry about going to jail, she’s white… meanwhile black kids are taught to put their hands up and what to say if cops stop them…

No cell phones when i was in high school, which i am thankful for. Our nights out drinking, concerts etc were to be enjoyed without people filming every second.

@@anyexpat I'm still that way. I can't stand people who feel the need to take a picture of literally everything just so they can post it to their social media to prove to the world that they have a life. If I'm at a concert or comedy show, I take like maybe 1 or 2 pictures before the show starts or just as it starts, and then I never take out my phone again.

@@willvr4 I do not actually use a mobile phone. People often think it is odd (I use skype via laptop for calls) but it means that when i close the laptop i am not contacable, guess what, never been an issue. I work online with over a million members in my fb groups and speak to people in different countries daily so having a mobile would ruin my life.
