@nullakjg767 Жыл бұрын
"body shaming" is just a way to excuse their terrible lifestyles. They equate being greedy gluttons to like someone who was born without legs. No one is body shaming people like steven hawkings for not meeting "beauty standards" They are shaming people who are actually doing shameful things. The same way the me too movement shames sexuality in aggressive men. Is it wrong? No, absolutely not. If men are acting like mysognistic pigs, they should be treated like one. Its the behavior we shame, not the body. The body is just a marker of the behavior occuring.

I’m a woman and I 100% agree with you. Fat women are really annoying with the whining. But at the same time, women are 100% judged on looks unlike men. So ofcourse men will have an easier time accepting that they’re overweight and not throwing tantrums whenever someone tells them that being fat isn’t great. Because their societal value is not based on what they look like. And I’m not making excuses for fat women but I’m just acknowledging where it comes from… ‘the fatties are fighting back’ type of thing

@@vintage_hart6392 sure. You may be short but your societal value is not based on your height. While you can’t change it you can ‘compensate’ for it in other ways. Something I’ve experienced is that in the US fast food is allowed to be more addicting. For instance a favorite of mine is the bacon egg and cheese biscuit at McDonald’s. There is an odd buttery flavor to it that really makes the sandwich. If I get one the next time I’ll get two because I’m craving it but after I eat one the “hunger” is gone but I’ll eat the second one because I bought it. I went to Canada and got the same thing and it did not taste the same! It’s not that it wasn’t good. It just lacked the odd buttery flavor I was used to. Also I didn’t crave it the next day like in the US. I found out that in Canada they have more stringent laws on additives in foods. For instance no high fructose corn syrup in anything.

Speaking of weird occurrences, here's one: Once when vacationing in Washington, DC, I was walking down North Capitol Street. Suddenly in midst of a street full of tourists (and politicians) a Chinese child no more than seven years old, whips out his wiener and takes a long whiz on the sidewalk in broad daylight (in a city filled with hotels and restaurants with restrooms). Of course, people were jumping about and dodging like crazy (except for one chap with an interested look on his face). Apparently in China, it's normal to use the restroom wherever or whenever one felt the need. The kid simply zipped up, caught up to his family and they continued on as though nothing happened.
