I think the real horror of this movie is that after watching it, nearly four hours have gone by. If Aidan does watch the film, my advice is to keep in mind that its main job is that it’s supposed to entertain and that a lot of the material is exaggerated and sensationalized compared to the actual historical event.

@kingwacky184 Жыл бұрын
Yes a lot about the accident and sinking itself it pretty accurate though. Except for some small details such as first officer Murdoch shooting people that is not true and the movie made him out to be kind of a villain when in fact he was hailed a hero after the sinking. And the stairways from second and third class being locked until first class have been loaded on to the lifeboats that was also incorrect. But other than that the colliding with the iceberg and the sinking is pretty darn accurate.

The sinking was (at the time) the most accurate depiction of the events in history, James did extensive research, even going to the wreckage itself Yes, characters themselves are exaggerated but anything related to the Titanic itself wasn't It's primary job isn't to entertain, that's just the first half of the movie. The second half is to show you how scary and horrific it was to be on that ship while it was sinking.

I respect an old school woman like Gaynor, as well as that 22 year old woman she mentioned that questioned these things, unlike the feminazi Karens these days that think they're above men and exempt from their own actions. This is why some men take themselves out of the dating pool entirely these days, rather than having to deal with the train wreck dumpster fire of modern women. There's an old lady I have a rapport with and even she asks how do we young men even deal these women these days? 😆 I don't. I'm happy with no drama and slow down in my life.

Very very good point, that is the way I raised my kids boys and girls do not hit a girl but if a girl hits you she better expect retaliation, because she has lost respect for you as a person. I ONLY HIT 1 lady in my life, when my ex tried too kill our kids . I lost my cool. I did do it in front of Police, when she said I thought they were better off dead than without their mother, SHE had a Mental breakdown, because we were not having Marital problems . I told the Police to arrest me and I told her father what I did. She was admitted to 72 hour phyc ward . I told her after she got out I was filing for Divorce because I feared for our children's life. She was diagnosed with Bipolar, depression , and another 1 I can't spell. and she refused treatment.
@michlo3393 Жыл бұрын
The problem with not hitting women is some of them (not all) assume that gives them cart blanche to act like assholes. With men, there is a boundary, you cross that boundary and you know you run the risk of getting hit. That's how it goes. That's why when men get into it, they _usually_ try and de-escalate first, and then move to fisticuffs. With women, especially vs men, they jump right in as if they're invincible because society has taught them, that they can be as fucking batshit crazy as they want and they wont have to suffer any consequences.
@HalkerVeil Жыл бұрын
It's a biological understanding from way back in my day. And still holds up to science to this very day. A woman can punch me and it hurts. But if I put that same energy back my fist cracks her biologically thinner skull. It's simple and natural power dynamics. Doesn't mean they are less of a person for it. But it does mean it changes how society has to act.
