When we talk about conserving endangered species, we talk about its effects on humans. A decline in carnivore numbers led to a rise in herbivore numbers which resulted in such a big loss of naturally occuring grassland that the Sahara desert got on a faster growing spree enough to send a part of Africa into a never seen before period of drought, because man couldn't cope with it. Accumulation on plastic on soil results in lack of fertility of the said soil and renders it uncultivable. Not to mention the effect of heating on plastic that is just lying around in the sun, the toxins that are release can permanently harm a person's breathing. George was more of philosopher than a comedian. He was extremely smart. Most of what he said in any of his bits is the truth, just most people would not listen if told in a serious manner. Put a comedic twist on it, exagerate it a little, and he got people to actually listen and think. I have said this with many of his bits, from what he was seeing at the time, it came even moreso true, nearly perdicting the future. In one way I wish he was here today to tell us about the BS we are in for, in another I am glad he isn't because I know it would scare the shit out of me.

The Earth and every other animal couldn't give less of a shit.

Don't agree. We've already killed off numerous species and will continue to do so. If animals were intelligent enough to give a shit about our negative influences, they definitely would. Likewise, the planet has never had to deal with some of the crap we've thought up relatively recently, such as our advanced omissions & non-degradable plastics. Just because it's survived so far, that doesn't mean it can survive us and our mechinations.

Human induced climate change isn't something to believe in or accept. It's very real. The data doesn't lie. Thermometers don't have a political affiliation. A lot of people misinterpret this. George isn’t saying that man made climate change isn’t real. He’s saying human beings are selfish and interfering with nature was what caused these problems in the first place. We stole and destroyed the homes of animals whenever it was convenient and now it’s coming back to bite us. If we’d shown respect for those who originally lived on certain land in the first place, we wouldn’t be in this situation. Now we’ve come to find out that climate change will eventually affect US, so we suddenly care. When it was just animals that we didn’t know served an important purpose in the circle of life, we pillaged all we could because it was in our own self interest. Now, people drive hybrids and electric cars as status symbols. So they can say they’re better and more enlightened than everyone else, whether they’re having any real impact or not. Human beings are selfish and self important and until we start caring about living beings other than ourselves, all this save the planet stuff is pointless.

Science has recently warned that we've entered the 6th great mass extinction event in Earth's history. Vertebra animals are now dying at a rate estimated at 114x faster than the overall background rate. George's comedy was grounded in facts and reality. Clouds control the climate, cosmic rays control the clouds, the sun controls cosmic rays. The Co2 levels now are at almost 0.03, if they go lower than 0.02 plant life will start to die off. Global climate change is a scam for control of the population, by forcing populations to use electricity it controls their movement. Not to mention the electrical grids of the world cannot handle the amount that would be required. I believe in respecting the planet and doing our best to care for it, but this will wipe 3rd world countries and people below the poverty line off the map. Stop being suckers and think for yourselves, I refer you to books like Animal Farm or 1984 for reference on how this is all about control and not the "environment."
