As a lifelong Giants fan, TWICE this year I've turned the game off at halftime...never done that before. I knew the game was over when a team that is last in the league in scoring, passes up a short field goal when only down by 7 to go for it on 4th down. NOBODY thought they would convert that 4th down against the Cowboys D.

Yes they do switch ends after the quarter. It makes it fair in case of weather affecting kicking and passing. Like kicking into the wind on one side and against it on the other end

They swap directions every quarter. It's a rule that was started when all the games were outside and they didn't want one team to have the advantage/disadvantage of the wind direction and sun in their eyes. Also, when you win the toss, you can decide to take the kick at the beginning of the game or after halftime but this gives the opponent the choice of ends of the field to defend first. Ideally, it's a strategic decision based on swapping every quarter and having the wind at your back in the 4th quarter.

Back in the 1970s, Dallas had a quarterback, Roger Staubach, who not only was the best, but he made football fans, especially young boys, all over America love the Dallas Cowboys. They had many other well-known players too. They came up with the Dallas Cowboy cheerleaders. Thanksgiving day games. Since 1934 the Detroit Lions have been hosting a game on Thanksgiving. The Dallas Cowboys have been hosting a game on Thanksgiving since 1966. Both of these games are still played today. The NFL added a random game in 2006. This game 2 teams rotate playing in it. You also have college football games scattered around Thanksgiving.

they swap every quarter, it's based on the coin toss. you'll hear them say "Cowboys won the toss and elected to defer" meaning they are deferring their choice of kicking or receiving the opening kickoff to the second half, teams almost always receive the ball when making the choice. the team that doesn't choose to kick or receive picks what side of the field they want to defend. thats more of an advantage in college football when you have rowdy student sections or bands in that side of the field to distract offenses

Dallas cowboys ever since the 1962 has played Thanksgiving except for one year they tried to play an other in the cowboys spot that year and the station rate dropped that year so they had to bring the cowboys back and I love all yall's video contents and I'm a cowboys fan so I know the feeling of disappointment in these kind of games

I didn't expect anything from the Giants offense ,they have been bad all year ,but now with a free agent rookie QB they have been awful . Last week the Raiders started a rookie QB also ,after they fired the coach and GM and benched the always very overrated QB Garroppolo . I was very disappointed by the defense which has been bad the last two games ,ever since they traded Leonard Williams away . I think the defense saw that as a sign that the management had given up on this season ,so they did too.Their goal line stand on the first Cowboys possession gave me hope but after that they were just bad .It's time to root for them to lose the rest of the games this year to get a very high draft position . Will they draft a top QB ? I don't know . They have so many other needs ,especially offensive line AGAIN .

@@RyTrapp0 I think Jones could have been a decent ,not great , NFL QB , but he was cursed from the start with bad coaches ,no offensive line ,and mediocre ,at best ,receivers . Even Mara said as much . At this point ,I think his psyche is wrecked . I'll bet he has nightmares every night about a mob of 300 pound monsters reaching out for him to maul him . I'm not sure ,but I think he has been the most sacked QB in the league on a per game basis while he was playing ,for sure he is among the top 2 or 3 . If they have a choice between the two top QB's in the next draft , I would pick Mayne . He has better numbers than Caleb and doesn't literally go crying to his mama when he has a bad game like Caleb .
