Just wanted to say Kiki and Edman deserve as much credit as Freeman for winning the series and performing in the playoffs in general those guys are so underrated kiki Homer against darvish basically clinched that series and then edman mvp against mets, both of them were workhorses for the whole playoffs consistently putting up stats in every game even when the stars weren't effective those two were clutch.. and then look which two it was to lead off the first two at bats of the legendary fifth inning
@subwooferyst_1Ай бұрын
The Dodger's offense is a relay team; they can't be hot every game, but someone grabs the baton and gets the team to the finish line. For example, Freddie Freeman was still struggling on defense and offense in the NLDS and NLCS from his ankle sprain, so other players like Edman, Will, CT3, Muncy, and Kikay stepped up for the games he missed in the postseason. And in return, Freddie lit up in the World Series.
@ZagirusАй бұрын
So does Ohtani, he saved the Dodgers from getting swept by the Padres with his clutch 3-run homer, having an outstanding NLCS performance with a 1.184 OPS, .364 average, .818 with RISP, leading with 9 runs, reaching the bases 17 times, and massively contributing to game 1 of the WS with his series-changing clutch double which tied it up 2-2 in the 8th in game 1 and set the stage for Freddie’s grand slam heroics that broke the Yankees' spirit. So other than Freddie, Ohtani is the reason why the Dodgers won the WS. But of course, let’s overlock his obvious injury in game 2, leaving him one handed and instead, conveniently sum up his WS as "did nothing", as if the obstacles he faced weren't glaringly obvious and didn’t carry the Dodgers to the WS.
@somerandomguy5977Ай бұрын
Someone's a Yankees fan.
@adamb5132Ай бұрын
@@Zagirusholy glaze. I won’t deny that Ohtani did great in the nlcs, but like come on man you can’t be hyping tf out of every hit like it changed the course of history. He wasn’t great in the nlds, some might even say he was bad. He did have that double I. The ws, but that was game 1, not series changing considering how dominant the dodgers were every other game. The real hero’s are the bullpen, a lot of people say that the dodgers won on an injured rotation, but look at how well they pitched and shut down offenses that were on fire. Besides freeman, they were the most important people in winning the WS.

Isn’t it peculiar when Freddie rolled his ankle and couldn’t buy a hit throughout the NLCS, guess what we heard? Absolute silence. No cries of "Oh, Freddie is a complete flop for not showing up!" Nope, instead he was serenaded with soothing whispers of empathy and understanding. Yet here comes Ohtani, the unsung hero of game 1 of the World Series, who snagged a clutch double in the 8th inning, setting the stage for Freddie’s memorable walk-off that basically won the Dodgers the WS. And then, oh no-a shoulder dislocation in game 2, leaving Ohtani one-handed. Suddenly, a guy playing with what amounts to a mechanical arm is supposed to knock it out of the park? Well, color me amazed. Apparently, "shoulder dislocation" actually means "you must perform superhuman feats without complaint" in whatever parallel universe these causals reside. So now, despite heroically saving the Dodgers from getting swept by the Padres with his clutch 3-run homer, having an outstanding NLCS performance with a 1.184 OPS, .364 average, .818 with RISP, leading with 9 runs, reaching the bases 17 times, and massively contributing to game 1 of the WS with his series-changing clutch double, Ohtani is now put on trial by the armchair critics, branded as a "postseason choker". Remarkable! Who knew injuries qualify as failures when you’re not Freddie? Our dear Freddie, however, gets a lovely exemption from expectations when injured but Ohtani? Oh, spare us the details about swinging with one arm, he just needs to put on a show, right? Their logic is baffling.
