Ok, I'm gonna get personal. 1975, I'm a student nurse on duty, and my boyfriend comes walking down the hall playing his guitar and singing Sweet Caroline. That tall drink of water is now sleeping in his recliner. Yep, I married him that year, it's 44 years today. What a coincidence this video would pop up today. Thanks Neil Diamond for all the love. Thank you Fil. ♡Nurse Caroline

In 1966 Neil Diamond’s was the very first album I ever owned. I had just bought a second-hand portable stereo with a fold down turntable and two detachable speakers. Bought my first guitar that year from the same cash drawer.

He explained the the flash would have no effect when trying to take pictures from dozen or hundreds of feet away. He announced that he would do a number in which all who wanted pictures could make their way down close to they stage and take as many picture as they wanted. After that, return to your seats and NO flash pictures attempted. The audience complied and the concert was great. The concert also featured Mr. Mister which was excellent. "Broken Wings" "Kyrie".

Thanks for listening to the comments on your channel, Fil. About a week ago I saw several requests for you to review Neil Diamond and I wrote one myself. Walla! Here it is. I have loved Neil Diamond for his entire career. He is about the same age as I, so I can identify with all his songs and his life. I saw him twice in concert, one time from floor seats in about the tenth row; I could feel the floor rock and I danced so hard, the beads in my necklace broke. He is one of the truly great talents of my generation but I am sorry now that I will never be able to share his live concerts with my progeny. I did an ice skating routine to some of his music from Jonathan Livingston Seagull and often listen to that soundtrack now with such great memories. Thanks, Neil, for all the great times!

Phil, you are so thorough and positive with fellow rockers, just a joy to listen to a professional to analyze another professional like Neil! Raised on him

So love Neil Diamond..you express things well about his style and essence, Fil. I was 15 1970 listening to lots of his songs on the transistor radio. "Play Me" one of my favorites.

My all time favorite singer - have loved that man since 1967 💎 ❤. His concerts were absolutely the best and isn’t Sweet Caroline the catchiest song ever?! 🎶🎶♥️

Wow. I have been a ND fan all my life. Thanks to my mother who played his records and strummed his songs on her guitar my entire growing up. However I have learned so much I did not know from your video. It blows my mind how talented Neil is. Thank you for this. Sharing with my entire family. ❤
