The Golden Gate Bridge did not collapse during the earthquake -- another bridge called the "Bay Bridge" on the other side of San Francisco collapsed during the 1989 earthquake. The Bay Bridge connects San Francisco to Oakland. The hot springs and geysers in Yellowstone are hotter than boiling water and you would die instantly if you fall in one. There have been several people of the years who have either purposely jumped in one or accidentally have fallen in. Some of the thermal pools are completely all mud that is hotter than boiling also. I live in Las Vegas. It's honestly no different than Pennsylvania was when I lived there, in terms of lifestyle. It's pretty affordable too, as most desert, inland cities are.

I’m a Chicagoan so obviously I’m a bit biased but we have a ton of cool shit. Navy Pier, which was 26 on that list, is super fun. We also have the Sears Tower, multiple nationally recognized museums, beaches, a big aquarium, tons of good food, tons of shopping, the worlds largest Starbucks, the bean, grant park, the river and the river tours. In the summer we also have a big event almost every weekend. Either a music festival like lollapalooza, or the air and water show, or food festivals, like the taste of Chicago. We literally have a music festival for almost every single type of music.

One of the reasons The Grand Canyon is so visited is it's close to Vegas and a lot if companies run tours that will take you from your hotel in Vegas to there and back

It looks like Mount Rushmore wasn't on the list. I just started planning a trip to the Black Hills area...after the madness of July 4th but before Sturgis. Devil's Tower, Deadwood, Needles Highway, the Badlands, etc. interest me more than MR, but of course I'll check it out. Sleeping in a tent on Grizzly Bear Creek. Wish me luck.
@bluelionsage993 жыл бұрын
I was out there half a year ago or so. The Black Hills area has a lot to see and is a fun area. Mount Rushmore itself is cool - but it is essentially a giant statue. Once you look at it for 10 minutes or so...you've seen it. The museum building was closed for renovation when I was there which I assume would have extended out trip time.

If you go to Niagara Falls make sure you come when the Maid of the Mist is running so you can ride right up to it. Seeing it up close just adds to it. Also on the NY side you can take a bridge over the rapids and standing inches from the edge. If you ever end up on this side of pond and plan to visit let me know it's 20 minutes from my house, we can also hit up the Canadian side for the attractions.

The thing about Las Vegas is that once you get off the Strip, it's pretty much just like any other city. New England native here. Faneuil Hall is pronounced "Fan-yull" or "Fan-yoo-ul", unless you're from Boston, in which case it's pronounced "Quincy Market". ("Quintsy Mahkit")
@FizzyCape3 жыл бұрын
Technically Faneuil hall is just one part of Quincy market, Quincy market includes some of the surrounding area too
@arcticbanana663 жыл бұрын
@@FizzyCape True, but generally when you mention Quincy Market, it's usually Faneuil Hall that comes to mind first. Sort of like how when people talk about the Kremlin or Red Square, everyone pictures St. Basil's Cathedral.

Niagara Falls is an afternoon trip, you could spend a week at the Grand Canyon and still have to decide what to skip and what to see.

The Statue of Liberty is on liberty island which is near Ellis island ( an old immigration island) you have to take a boat there (which costs money) from Lower Manhattan or you can see it as you go pass on the state island ferry (which is free but a little further away because you would be on New Jersey waters).

I can't even begin to describe how overwhelmingly large the Grand Canyon is when you see it in person. Like it doesn't compute in your mind, standing from the top, how deep it is looking down.

I'm probably older than most here. I live on the East Coast but have been lucky enough to have visited Las Vegas, San Diego (socal), Disney-Epcot-Universal-Sea World in FL, Niagara Falls (Canadian side), the islands of Oahu and Maui in Hawaii, Washington DC and only flew over the Grand Canyon leaving Arizona. There's so much more I want to see, like the giant Redwoods in CA. Niagara was by far my fav!

As a person who lives in Vegas there is so much more then the strip. If you can handle the heat during the summer it is a great place to live. Always things to do even off the strip. Best of all, the abundance of different types of food.

Statue of Liberty is located on Liberty Island in NY Harbor in between Manhattan and Brooklyn however some would argue that it’s located on the New Jersey side of the Hudson River. It’s been a long standing feud if you will between NYC and Jersey.

Kilauea is awesome, my wife didn’t want to go but now considers the best thing she’s ever experienced. You can walk directly over the lava tube with the hot magma flowing underneath However it is incredibly hot when you walk out there about 120 degrees or 48.9 C. When the sun goes down the lava is beautiful

As someone who's been to Niagara Falls and the Grand Canyon (once each)... The Niagara Falls are an amazing sight but it really is just a huge waterfall. There's really nothing else to do besides all the tourist trap bullshit around it that you can find in any tourist town and while it's certainly better in person and worth seeing at least once in your life, it is basically what you see in videos/pictures. The Grand Canyon on the other hand is the most amazing thing I've ever seen in my entire life and I literally just got chills typing that sentence from recalling the experience. No amount of photos or video will ever do it justice and I will never forget the feeling of walking up to it for the first time and seeing the absolute enormous and beautiful tear in the earth. Plus, the park itself offers so much to do beyond just staring at the canyon. Unlike Niagara Falls. Outside of sitting on a ferry, there's nothing to do there. You'd die if you actually went on the river to the falls. Whereas you can hike the Grand Canyon to the floor, ride a donkey to the floor (literally), camp, kayak/canoe the Colorado river, take a helicopter tour over it etc. Also so much wild life and ancient history in and around the canyon.

There are some nice suburbs off the las vegas strip Henderson, Boulder city, and Summerlin with some of the communities like in the desert shores have lagoons from condos to million-dollar homes with some gated communities, Spanish trail 15 mins. west of the strip a guard-gated master-planned community with homes ranging from 1300 to 10,000 sq. ft. with a 27 hole golf course, I live in Summerlin. been in Vegas since 1992. Worked for over 20 years at Caesars Palace.
@tacosparundollar69623 жыл бұрын
I live in Vegas and it’s literally like all cites in the us, like different parts of town have names. The strip is literally dead in the center on town to all around it there’s suburbs. For example north and east las Vegas is like the gettos and the south (Henderson) and the northwest (summerlin) and also the south east (lake Las Vegas) is like where the rich people live and like the central and the southwest is like middle class areas (where I live) I love Vegas and it not just the strip that is entertaining like where many places to go to like ice skate parks (winter palace)I think😭. And hella malls and move theaters. Theirs also a giant Air Force base in the north east too btw :P. Vegas is hella cool and fun and knowing all of that is in the middle of the desert makes it more cool 😎, by the way I love your channel I’ve been watching it for a few months now and I love the content you’ve been posting💗. I would love more reactions about vegas. If you have any questions regarding Vegas just ask away :)
