Flour got a lot of natural bacteria in it and when eating too much cases stomach aches. For eggs, the inside is 100% safe to eat raw. It's the outside you have to worry about. If the protect coating on the egg surface is broken or shell is cracked, bacteria and stuff can get inside the egg. I found the negative reaction to cookie dough to be an interesting cultural difference. For Americans, cookie dough is a taste that takes us back to childhood memories of helping our mothers or grandmothers in the kitchen and licking the mixer batons afterwards. Also, I feel that eating cookie-dough started as a joke in American movies and American television programs. Cookie dough was eaten by characters that were either broken-hearted or too lazy to bother with baking. It had a negative connotation but eventually it became its own place as a dessert. Rather than eating straight up I recommend having some cookie dough ice cream instead. Thanks, Katchup for bringing joy to people everywhere!

This is a first I've heard about coke float. Root beer float is quite popular and familiar for most people. Pumpkin pies are not made from large pumpkins used to carved for Halloween. Pumpkin pies are usually made from smaller pumpkins, and mostly eaten on Thanksgiving, not Halloween. My kids prefer s'mores during camp. It's nostalgic. My kids enjoy toasting their marshmallows at the camp fire. Like everyone have said, caramel apple is better to slice in quarters and then eat it. The only thing I don't like about it is the apple gets soggy from the caramel after awhile. By the way, that's a lot of cookie dough. I personally don't eat raw cookie dough. Now, these desserts are not eaten on a daily basis. Most of these are eaten during a season or an event/occasion. Apple pies and pumpkin pies are usually eaten during Thanksgiving, s'mores during (summer) camp, caramel apple at the fair, root beer floats can be made at home anytime, etc.

- Apple and pumpkin pie are both Thanksgiving staples. They are usually much thicker (and juicier in the case of the apple pie) than that and you eat it with a fork. Whipped cream and vanilla ice cream are popular toppings, though it's common to eat them without. - S'mores are easy to make and consistently popular - toasted marshmallow and milk chocolate (Hershey's) sandwiched between a pair of graham crackers. Ideally, you make them whenever you have a fire and the ingredients (ex: camping during summer, around a fireplace during winter), so the marshmallow should be still warm and the chocolate should be slightly melted. - Caramel apples are great, usually found at carnivals and fairs, but are a pain to eat. I've found a fork helps to balance it while eating it, in the traditional form, but it can also be in the form of dipped apple slices. - I've never heard of a "coke float", but root beer floats are common (despite the name, "root beer" is a type of soda made from the root bark of sassafras trees). A "float" is made by simply topping a drink with vanilla ice cream. - I've heard of banana pudding, but I don't live in a part of the country where it is popular. They're really more of a southern thing. - Cookie dough is more a flavor than anything (ex: "cookie dough ice cream" is just vanilla with cookie chunks), and children are discouraged from eating actual raw cookie dough because of the health risk (raw eggs and flour). You can buy "edible cookie dough", but it's not really "supposed to be eaten" in that form - it's just less of a health risk in case any of it does gets eaten prior to baking.

I've always seen Rootbeer floats as opposed to Coke floats as most of the comments have mentioned, but another variant I grew up on was Purple Cow. It's an ice cream float with grape juice. So good!

Raw cookie dough is one of the forbidden desserts. We know we aren't supposed to but sometimes rationality leaves us and we eat a spoonful.

If they want a tart dessert, try Key lime pie. You'll have to get some Key lime juice shipped over, but it will be worth it. Another option is lemon icebox pie. Both are delicious.

Plenty of tart desserts in America. Like lemon anything will be tart. I also can’t do heavily sweet things

apple pie is good, if you want to make it great, warm it up and throw some vanilla ice cream on top for some Apple pie Ala mode, the mixture of the melted ice cream and the pie filling is great 애플파이도 맛있고, 맛있게 만들고 싶다면 데워서 바닐라 아이스크림을 얹고 애플파이 알라 모드로 녹인 아이스크림과 파이 필링의 조합이 최고예요

For a tart dessert I’d do lemon merengue pies, you know you have a good filling when it is so tart it is on the verge or being sour. The merengue is sweet to balance it.

Apple & pumpkin pie are staples at holiday feasts, if you were to try another pie I'd suggest pecan pie. I never eat cookie dough on its own but in vanilla ice cream it's pretty good Caramel apples are one of those foods you might see at a state fair, I don't think it's something people have very often. Coke float would definitely be a root beer float in America, but I've come to understand root beer is not a well liked flavor outside of the USA, so doing coke instead makes sense. I also like it with orange soda, orange & cream is another flavor combination we have (Orange creamsicle popsicles)

one of my favorite deserrts my sister makes for christmas or thanksgiving is Pink Tofu. It's really good. It's basically angel food cake, jelly, strawberries, white cream or something like that. My other favorite desert are churros, funnel cake and Strawberry shortcake. I also love birthday cake cake pops

Apple pie is probably the most iconic American dessert. In fact, there's even a saying: As American as apple pie. My father used to like to have a piece of sharp cheddar cheese with a piece of apple pie and alternate bites.

Funny enough, me and my family usually cut up caramel/candy apples before we serve them, since: 1- it's easier to eat 2- you get to share it

Root beer is what we traditionally what we use in our floats. S'mores are just too sweet but are eagerly consumed on camping trips. We love apple and pumpkin pie. Banana pudding too, if it's made right. Carmel apples are a favorite for Halloween and fall celebrations. I very much enjoyed your reactions 😂 Love you guys ❤ ✌️

as an american I'm with them on the caramel apples. I always thought it would make more sense if you sliced it up before dipping it in the caramels.

You typically have the caramel apples sliced. Alternatively, you can first slice the apples, then dip them in caramel.
@himenyx153 Жыл бұрын
I feel like all the caramel apples I've gotten didn't have a hard shell of caramel, but more a thick and soft caramel that's still kinda difficult to take a bite of but not like you guys struggled!

The caramel apples are a lot easier and neater if you cut them into slices. (Not sure but, I think some of the sweet shops might be able to slice them for you, if you ask)

That was horrifying. My brother worked at an aquarium when he was 17, and he loved their octopus. She'd slink over to be petted when he brought her food, and clasp his arm so that he'd stay with her longer.

Cookie dough, and s’mores, Mmm, So good. Glad you guys enjoyed it at least somewhat, and…yeah, we have a lot of sugar in our food, mostly because companies want to get us hooked and addicted to it, so we keep coming back and buying their food.

The desert they need to try is key lime pie. I don't know how accessible it is in Korea as it's made from key limes which are found in Florida. If you want to make it, I don't know how easy it is to get key lime juice in Korea. If you can find a company that will ship the pie to Korea, that will be good also.
