The difference in American football and soccer crowds is in American football, loudness is the most important thing. Like literally just yelling. You have to be able to communicate pretty much everything you do on the field. If the offense can’t hear each other because of the crowd, that gives the home team such an advantage. I've been trying to tell europeans this lmao. A lot of the british sports reactions are focused on tradition when they should be looking at the noise level of games. They should watch loudest football/basketball moments rather than traditions, it'll be much more impressive IMO

I can't believe I'm actually sticking up for my least favorite team in America but you had said in a previous video that it is better when the song is unique to the school vs a mainstream song... well Michigan was singing their school's fight song, Hail to the Victor and you called it corny. I do not know a British equivalent, but that Virginia Tech Hokies version of enter sandman. Just looking at the box score. Virginia Tech has the lead by a single field goal (kick for 3 points) . There is 5 seconds (one final play), the opposing team has the ball in a dire situation. All they have to do is hold the line for one play to win it all. The announer says everyone is "losing their minds". I can only imagine being in that stadium. As it ended so close with sooo much emotion, I imagine the whole game was a rough fight all night

College sports are the closest thing your going to get in the states to European crowds. College football atmospheres are great, but do take into account the games can drag, there’s lots of timeouts and pauses that can make a single experience pretty poor. But head to a big game between two really good teams, and the game is right. It’s an amazing experience. As for professional sports, it’s more of a family event. Playoff atmospheres for certain fanbases can be pretty solid, but some of the bigger fanbase end ip pricing out rowdy fans from playoff games, leaving the seats to the ‘suits’ as some refer to them as. If you do ever get the chance to come over, definitely College Football should be the first choice for sporting events you go could go to

If you ever do make it to the states, go to a college game over NFL. College football predates the NFL by over 25 years. Bigger stadiums, more pride, louder. Think Premier league where every team has massive rivals vs Euro ball. MU vs ACM is a big game but there’s no local pride. There’s some local pride in the nfl but there’s heaps in college football
