Not Bengal but India officially claimed whole of Kashmir last year by removing it's autonomy provision in place like since independence and was backed internationally by almost everyone including Russia,US,UK,EU except for like China, Turkey and Pakistan. Alexander the Great reached India, fought and barely defeated a small but extremely talented Indian king, Porus. Porus and his small army, despite in the end losing, hurt Alexander's army the more than any army ever had before. Enough so that the Greek army, upon learning that the next kingdom was 5 times more powerful, mutinied. Alexander left India wounded and ended up back in Babylon where he died. Before leaving India he left Porus in charge, but under the watchful eyes of some of his soldiers who had decided to stay. The Greeks found some similarities between their gods and the Hindu gods and decided that the Hindus were really actually worshiping Greek gods. Just, you know, under different names. So, no amazing god battles. 😞
