7:56 Cholas invaded South-East Asia and established colonies there, hence some of those countries still have places that sound Indian-ish and there is a lot of influence of Hinduism. The Bali island in Indonesia is majority Hindu.

@very bad It was a dynasty of kings. The most famous of whom was Samudragupta. Napolean is often called Samdragupta of France. He is often compared to Alexander too. With one exception. Nap lost twice while Alex lost once. Samudragupta lost ZERO times. The Guptas were a patron of the arts and academia as well. They also basically started patronising the biggest centre of learning in South Asia till it's destruction- The university of Nalanda. They ruled mostly northern India. The empire was a classical conservative kingdom, steeped in ritualistic religion . And also led to codeification of current caste system and unfortunately a lot of the basis of discrimination. It also led to a boom in trade with neighbours as the dynasty followed a loose approach to business regulation.

13:35 "it's not really where westerners are connected... with their heritage, you know" What about the Indo-Greek Kingdom that we saw in the beginning? What about the Indo-Scythians and the Indo-Europeans? Western schools should really care more about India because they (the people and nations in and around the indian subcontinent) and us ("westerners" in general and Europeans specifically) have a very interesting history together.

The "Huna empire" was created by Hephthalites and Alchon Huns from Central Asia, they arrived somewhere between the 5th and 6th centuries CE, they didn't do much damage in the beginning, but after the death of Emperor Skandagupta, they took over large swathes of Gupta territory, and destabilised the empire, they stayed dominant in India until 528 CE, when a campaign led by a coalition of Indian kings including the then Gupta ruler, Narasimhagupta, finally defeated king Mihirakula and his Huna army, and brought down the Huna empire.

Indian history starts at 10000bc approx....It's unfortunate that a historian does not know about history of India.... As history practically started in India.... It's not even properly assimilated.... The ancient libraries having been destroyed.....People would be so dumbfounded once they realise the amount of influence India has exerted towards human civilizations and practically every sphere of culture and life across the millennia....
