Travis has one of the purest voices in country music. “Anymore” is another fantastic slow song. He did some great duets with Marty Stewart - “The Whiskey Ain’t Workin’ Anymore” and “This One’s Gonna Hurt You” . More upbeat, fun songs include “Here’s a Quarter”, “T-R-O-U-B-L-E”, “Country Club” and “Ten Feet Tall & Bulletproof”. He also did an amazing cover of The Eagles classic “Take it Easy”. He recently joined Hot Country Knights on “”Pick Her Up”. Hard to go wrong with anything by Travis.

The instrument playing the beautiful solo about half way through the song, in case you were wondering is a dobro. Such a beautiful sound.

Now you have my favorite country singer! You need to check out his Trilogy which is comprised of 1: Anymore 2:Tell Me I Was Dreaming 3: If I Lost You. It's a story Mac who went threw the war and what some veterans went threw. It's also about true love and friendships. But anything you play from him, I know you'll enjoy. He has his up beat songs and his slower songs have plenty of meaning and came from his perspective. I'm Gonna Be Somebody is a song to me that sounds like when he was first starting out. When he went on tour with Marty Stuart, it was named the " No Hats Tour" because at the time most male country singers wore hats, but they didn't.

One of the best voices ever in country music .... or any genre for that matter. You should hear him cover Bob Segar live. Unbelievable voice! And yes, for a different vibe, check him out with Marty Stuart on The Whiskey Ain’t Workin’ and This One’s Gonna Hurt You. These have more of the Honky Tonk feel. Also, Help Me Hold On, Between an Old Memory and Me, Love of a Woman, and Sometimes She Forgets. 🎶 ♥️♥️

So, I’m not a country fan, but, Travis Tritt’s album The Restless Kind was on repeat on my CD player, that and Meatloaf’s Bat Out of Hell 2: Back Into Hell. You can’t go wrong with ANY of the songs on that album. He had many others that were great too! There’s a trilogy of songs that he did, first is called Anymore, then Tell Me I Was Dreaming and the last was If I Lost You. I don’t think you can find Anymore on KZbin for the official music video, but there was someone who put all three together, here’s the link: kzbin.info/www/bejne/rnjdgGdmi8Z3oLc

There was a lot of radio stations the wouldn't play it in 1986, because of what it insinuate, but it still went to Number 1. Have a blessed day!!!
