I have never been across the pond for a visit to England (it's on my bucket list tho) but the parents of a close friend of mine were born/raised there. They moved to the US/became citizens when he was young, we became friends in high school, went to art school/college together. Going to their house was like coming home to my house. Sweet, generous, loving, welcoming, hilarious sense of humor...some of the best people I know. Idk if we drank more tea or beer together, lol. My bro visited the UK & said everyone he met is the exact same way. I love what ya said about being the 51st state of the US, well put man! To me, England is more like family than a neighbor. Britain is our smaller big brother. It came first, it taught us all we know, and it fought with us and toughened us up all our life. And while like any brothers, we disagree with a lot of things, we know we are family, and blood is thicker than water. We’d protect them as they would us. And if we ever were forced to take over and attack Britain, I guarantee it would only be done with British citizens desires to be taken over and protected. IE: Dictator takes over, they keep having their weapons stripped and want them back, etc etc. And whether they admit it or not, they would take us over or attempt too if the roles were reversed, only to protect us. Which considering the idiot running things currently, they might need too.
