I recently bought one, it'll arrive tommorow. The things i don't like with an ECBA, is that it is hard to get plates and Kevlar, and i have to play with webbing to use it with pouches. I think MK4 is more practical, because of molle and more universal plate and kevlar size.
@trechtzach81513 жыл бұрын
It's not. ECBA plates are plentiful, and the aramid coverage is literally the same. Overlay an Osprey insert on top of an ECBA insert and you will find it matches perfectly. Bonus, overlay an Armourshield insert on top of Osprey or ECBA and you will find the cut very similar. The only real difference is the Osprey inserts are made to a higher protection level, though the quality of inserts will vary contractor to contractor.

I have an Osprey vest like that. I'm from the U.S. ( so I get to put mags for rifles and pistols in the pouches, your govt. did it's people wrong when they disarmed you since there are tons of illegal guns on the streets of London and only violent thugs have them) and got mine in the Coleman's Military Surplus catalog for 150 U.S. It's one of my favorite tac vest/plate carriers with lots of MOLLE rows and tons of loops per row. I can carry a bunch of AK mags on the vest, plus my large drug bag and MFAK ( multiple first aid/trauma kit) and a dump pouch to keep my rifle and pistol mags to reload. I also have that MTP pattern Brit gas mask bag that I wear on my left thigh to carry more ammo in the main compartment and more meds ( opioids and benzos ) in the side pockets. I like this vest a lot. Mine came with the bomb collar and shoulder/arm protectors. Liked the video and great choice on a vest. You can't go wrong with that, among the best IMO
@Weaponsandstuff935 жыл бұрын
Yeah prohibition never works
@cthulhu66975 жыл бұрын
@@Weaponsandstuff93 It's the same with drugs. If they decriminalized everything so you could walk into an pharmacy and buy heroin , oxycodone, Xanax, everything right over the counter there would be way less crime, jails and court/legal systems wouldn't be overrun and over crowded, terrorists and gangs would find their finances slow to a trickle so they couldn't afford to attack anybody, overdose deaths would plummet because you could have, say, $5 bags for beginners, $10 bags for people with some tolerance, $20 bags, 30s, and so on. It would of a known quality and consistent. For the past 16 years or so, Portugal has had great success with decriminalization of all drugs, and it works. They have jails that aren't overcrowded, overdose deaths are rare, and less young people even get started on drugs because it's not some tantalizing, forbidden fruit. I have nasty chronic pain and panic disorder ( 22 years and counting for the chronic pain and longer for the panic disorder). Both conditions are lifelong and get more and more as I get older. I will require opioids and benzos for the rest of my life. The dose of Xanax I'm prescribed for panic disorder is perfect for me, but I'm terribly under-medicated for chronic pain due to the fake "opioid crisis" in the U.S. People are dying left and right because they have their prescription meds at half or less of their old, effective dose or can't get them at all, so people that have never done anything stronger than Percocet/oxycodone are forced to go on the street and buy heroin of unknown quality mixed with who knows what and they OD and die. So, you and Portugal are right, prohibition doesn't work. I'm about done with this country and will move to Portugal when I can afford it. Maybe I won't be able to have all the cool guns and high capacity mags that I have now, but I'll be able to be medicated at the levels that I want and need and have some quality of life. I'm sick of suffering, Lisbon here I come :) Oh, BTW, how much did you pay for your Osprey? I paid $150 U.S and it came with the bomb collar and shoulder/arm guards, which are Kevlar and/or ballistic nylon, I think, so I guess about 78 Pounds in your money ( I think a Great British Pound is worth about 2 U.S. Dollars ). Of the 3 plate carriers I have ( The Osprey, Condor EXO Gen 2, and Fox Tactical Vital Plate Carrier Vest, I think the Osprey and Fox are my favorites, with the Osprey taking a bit of a lead. I carry ammo heavy when all "kitted up", with about 20 -22 30s for my AKs and 10 or 11 high capacity mags for my primary handgun, usually ( I have a Chinese MAK 90, and a Romanian made Romak. Both are AKMs, slightly modified AK47s that chamber the same 7.62x39mm rounds, and generally keep a 75 round drum mag in the gun, or 2 30s held together with magazine couplers, and my primary hangun [when all kitted up, and it's also usually my nightstand pistol], is a .45 caliber Glock 21 loaded with a 13 round mag + 1 in the chamber and 10 extra 13 round mags. When it's my bedside gun, I keep it loaded full up with 2 extra mags beside it with one of my AKs and 1 of my 2 Mossberg 500 .12 gauge pump shotguns with pistol grips the "assault package", loaded with .00 buckshot rounds in easy reach. I hate the AR15/M16 platform and the 5.56x45mm round in general. The M16 and it's round are just a jam-prone, high powered .22, and I hate the 9mm as well, except for sub-machine gun use. There is a British 9mm round that is pretty vicious for a 9mm and I have a case of them I bought in a military surplus catalog. The boxes are marked "for sub-machine gun use only" so they must be high powered rounds with a lot of chamber pressure. I have a CCW ( concealed carry ) permit and carry concealed pretty much everywhere I go ( my preferred CCW guns are a Glock 23, Sig Saur P229 [both compact, high capacity .40 calibers] or Glock 30 [ compact .45 with 10 rounds in the mag + a round in the chamber] ). I know British gun laws are Nazi-esque, so what can y'all legally have? I' wrap up this long comment because I could talk guns and weapons all day ( I'm a gun enthusiast and have been shooting, training with, and collecting for most of my 45 years. I'm from the American South where guns are a big part of our culture)

i have osprey with full military grade soft filler and a collar with filler, i also have steel rifle plates but just with soft armor and bomb collar the osprey weighs like 6-7kg, the steel rifle plates weigh 4kg a piece so even if i knew i was gonna be shot at with rifles hypothetically i would probably be better off having the mobility of not using the plates, also the 2 plates (which are polish l3 military plates) costed more than the osprey with filler and auxiliary armour. i may do a video at some point, i always say im gonna start making videos and stuff but i never get around to it.
