Network Southeast were the best back in the 1990s. Some stations still have remains of Network Southeast especially outside of London.

Interesting seeing a Networker at Clapham. That must've been pretty rare. I don't remember ever seeing that before.

The 33 pulling the 73 out of Clapham yard had the 73 on the juice n shoes down and arcing to boot.. Since the lead loco wasn't a 33/1, how or who controls the power on the 73's!??.. Vacuum brakes allowed for!..

73s were Blue Star MW equipped, so could work with class 33/0s on either diesel or electric

If the class 66s were never introduced into service, would we still have 47s and 37s? Good video as always though

Probably not, something else would have been built.....

I reckon without privatisation, BR would have ordered more Class 60s to replace the earlier types on freight workings, DMUs would have replaced loco haulage on passenger trains (which happened anyway post privatisation), and there may even have been a passenger development of the Class 60 to haul the sleeper trains.

Six years after Network SouthEast was launched, and standards were improved dramatically, Waterloo is looking rather scruffy isn't it. Peeling paint, glass missing from the end screen on the roof. Seemed a characteristic of BR that they could never keep their properties in good order.
