Back to a July day now in 1991, at Oxford which then was then a hotbed of activity with loco hauled trains. We see InterCity and freight along with first generation DMU's. The passenger workings were hauled by clas 47s while we see a 37 and a couple of 58s on freight, in those days Didcot A Power Station still recieved its coal from UK pits and at least once an hour an MGR train would head towards Didcot while the preceeding one would head back north. That changed to imported coal via Avonmouth late on in the 1990s until Didcot A closed in 2013. The DMU's were working the local services on the Reading-Didcot-Babury route.
