This was THE station when I was a kid getting the train from Dorking to Waterloo. It's when it went to 4 tracks. Fast trains. VEPs CIGs CEPs even flying through and overtaking - like this 1:05 but a much less boring and generic unit!! Busy spot. Is there any loco powered action ever now? Or freight? It's amazing that the 508 carriages are still in use as part of the 455s. I remember the EPBs and SUBs being replaced by the 313s (was it?) and then 455s. At the time the sliding door concept was like something from space (I always remember the rubber smell) but of course we grew to miss the slam doors!

Awesome video, how long do you usually spend filming at railway stations? You certainly have a lot more patience than me when it comes to filming......generally I find it difficult to film in one place for more than a few minutes!

One error in title, it's Raynes Park not Rayners park, I think you've mixed up with rayners lane
