They sold shrimp burgers in the Philippines last year under the name _ebi burger_ , it was their during their Flavors of Asia promo, and it was the one I always got when it was available. It had black sesame seeds on the bun and the sauce tasted a bit like wasabi mayo. The patty wasn't uniform in texture and had little chunks of shrimp in it. It sold well (at least in my area) because it was sometimes unavailable and they'd need to wait for restocks.

It was available a few years back too. Like a promotional thing or something. The wife didn't approve of that one. Last year's Ebi burger was a hit to her tho. She ate it like she wasn't allergic. Thank the heavens for antihistamines and epipens, I'm not yet a widower because of those. 😅

I loved this one so much I ordered it every time. I lucked out that there was one branch in the province that still had it when the promo period ended so I managed to get a last hurrah. I liked it over the other flavor that came out with it (they had the Japanese and Korean burgers, I think?)

In Malaysia, we also have the Golden Prosperity Burger that comes into the menu every Chinese New Year! I PERSONALLY really love it but the patty (chicken/beef) is usually super juicy with a black paper glaze. Sad that you guys couldn't experience it in that form, but I'M SUPER JEALOUS of that Supreme Shrimp Burger 😭

Out of everything in this series. The thing I see most is how much Josh loves other cultures. It isn't just Korea. The love he shows for the hip-hop culture (which he doesn't seem all that used to! haha) is amazing. It's just love. Really awesome to see.

Japan has the Ebi Burger which is prawn burger too. Singapore has McSpicy Burger which could be similar to the McSpicy Shanghai Burger.

I don't know about Mcdonald's but Korean KFC is really nice. Shanghai spicy chicken burger is definitely a signature menu of Korean Mcdonald's. The origin of Bulgogi burger is Lotteria so all the credit should go to Lotteria for that menu. Supreme Shrimp burger is definitely nice. I have no idea about Gold prosperity burger because I've never tried it. I didn't know that they didn't have the paper roll support for burger menus in U.K. Mcdonald's.

Loving the series! Here in Japan, we have a Mac situation. Both Korea and Japan Mac are top notch thanks to their host countries. We have the shrimp burger here, and similarly to the bulgogi burger, Japan has a teriyaki burger. One of the things I love about the Japan Mac menu is called “Yoru Mac” (evening Mac). After 5pm, menus items unlock and they are double (“bai”) the volume. It’s insane. The bai double cheese burger has 4 patties 🥳. Y’all need to come check it out on your way through to Korea next time! Also, we have a Carrot Tower in Sangenjaya, Tokyo. Just throwing that out there…

There is a Korean cafe named Mellow Coffee in Perth, Australia, which I tried last week. They have a chili cheese prawn burger which is so humongous with a crunchy prawn patty and the patty itself has generous number of whole prawns. This was the first Korean prawn burger that I have ever tried and it was so good!

Singapore also had that. And Prosperity burger (comes in beef or chicken, SG's McD are Halal) always comes back for CNY with the curly fries (it get hella messy (due to the slop of black pepper sauce) , and also it kind of taste nasty, unless you got a good one, mostly just tasting moist.)
