I am 31, very lucky as a child to see her live. I walked down aisle to this song....but they have another version where she talks at the beginning and says “I do swear that il always be there, I’d give anything and everything, and I will always care, through weekend and strength happiness and sorrow for better for worse I will love you with every beat of my heart”.....and that bit my bridesmaids walked down to and I walked down to the song.

She is amazing and tough as nails. As others have mentioned she lost her mom and step dad and had to put her career on hold to care for her siblings(after having a very rough childhood including witnessing her mom be abused), her ex- husband cheated on her, and she also got Lyme's disease which attacked her vocal cords and she almost lost her ability to sing. She's been through it!

She wrote this song for her husband who was mutt Lange. And he broke her heart by having an affair with her best friend. Which made herself doubt herself and music. She ended up not being able to sing for years. I haven't heard her sing it anymore. But it is a beautiful song.

Yeah, his name said it all. Mutt! BUT, she got the last laugh when she ended up marrying her said "best friends" husband who was also devastated by his wife's betrayal. Grief brought them together. Shania got the better deal in that mess.

She has sung it in several tours / residencies. Still the One I think will always be her best Vegas Residency / tour, the others don't seem to be as amazing. As tours / concerts go, UP! Live in Chicago is probably my favourite. I hope she returns to her classic style, both in music and fashion. I'd probably say that her Queen of Me era is my least favourite era for Shania. Too OTT. Also too trying to conform to modern music. Not bad but just not hitting the mark like her classics. From an emotional standpoint Now was a stronger album in my opinion. Her ballads are my favourite & that's probably why I preferred Now to Queen of Me, it had more emotional stuff on it. I also hope she releases more country leaning music & Red UP! Or Red & Green UP! album in the future. I think Red UP! Is probably my favourite album of hers as a whole. Queen of Me has hardly any country influence, it's much stronger on the bonus tracks. I think she'd do better with more ballads & country instrumentation in her music.
