Man I am telling you Ricky's fights were straight events for me and my mates, it was a time when I lived in Cornwall and was super happy, Ricky every 3-4 months or so would absolutely make our night, just nothing but pure unadulterated excitement watching every little bit of it from the build up to training footage to the blue moon walk out to nothing but full cylinder fighting, beer food and good mates, I am 43 now and remember the 90's very well, but I gotta say Ricky was my favourite ever to watch, the kostya tzyu win had me close to tears. "SUPER PROUD OF YOU CHAMP".

I'm with ya mate they were proper seshes the Hatton fights. I watched every fight he had from about 4 fights. never seen a body puncher like him.. I'm 41 so I know exactly what them night ment to you mate. the kosya tua night was special but I'll never forget the feeling of Hatton shouting who you come to see floyd booooo me yeahhhh let's fxxking av him.. the buzz of that weigh in was mental. I gotta say thanks for such a cool reply, it was special right, do you remember the collazo fight and them both stood there in Boston America and razor close yet Hatton had just pulled it off, at about 5odd am me and my mate fartman Andy (couldn't burp bless him) so you get why we called him that, just aswell he smelt like roses, but mate we were jumping up and down screaming with beer flying everywhere, that one was close. The reason why I never got excited about the Floyd fight was I knew what Hatton had got himself into, I say it all the time, no single fighter in the history of the sport has perfected it better than Floyd mayweather, and I am English, hahahaha, boxing is hit and not get hit, and the bottom line is when you choose the sport you wanna become a prize fighter, that's the honest truth of it, Floyd didn't just have a near on perfect career he actually earnt the most to. His record will most likely be beaten, but that's just a record, you have to look at how they conducted that record. Damn sorry I sound like a damn school teacher or something, I thought our Ricky had a much better chance with paquiaou, bigger stronger, almost as fast, and loves a tear up, I was shocked, any way again I hope your all good my brother.

Love him, I was there him vs tszyu, went to Vegas to watch him fight urango, castillio, mayweather, pacquiao. He's still such a big draw. Glad and happy he's put himself through the trenches to get back in shape. After the fight I hope he keeps it up.
