Ho' boy...you've done it again! :-) I love your stunned expressions. Yes....15. ....That's me EVERY time I hear her sing...well that or leaking tears like a sieve....Considering her upbringing, you simply have to admire this young woman who still just wants to bring happiness and joy to anyone around her. Such true resilience and human connection. She is what many of us should strive to be like. The truest female contralto to exist in the world today. Many folks compare some of her "sound" to Cher or Shakira, which is fair based just on the particular depressed tongue root sound displayed, but unfair because she is a natural. She is like a tempest given voice. Polyphonic overtones is similar to throat singing. You basically manipulate the larynx to produce additional resonance in addition to your natural produced sound, kind of like adding a second "voice" almost. It makes it sound full because of the additional layering. Diana is one of the most empathic, emotive young ladies ever to perform. Her connection, and ability to transport you to where she is, is magnificent. Many folk describe her as a shamanistic goddess. Absolutely on the mark. She is absolutely my 2nd favorite singer in the world, right behind...maybe next to Floor Jansen. Her vocal range and smooth warmness at the bottom is just mind blowing for someone so young. Her "yodels" are a signature of hers. That ability to flip seamlessly from upper chest to her head voice is second to none on the planet. Best of all, her actual vocal tone while speaking is also very low so you know she isn't "forcing" that sound, but is a true master contralto....so RARE!! There will be many, many more requests for her, I'll put mine in ow...Human, Rechenka, Dier Dance are all superlative. Her new material coming out on her channel is ..and I mean this...mind blowing. She is managed by the same gent who manages Dimash so you know the talent he deals with. he has brought her along slowly, having her finish school like a regular teen and not overloading her with music industry nonsense. Smart man that Igor. I would rattle on about her talents and nuances that you should listen for...but it'd take a small essay Im sure. Just enjoy and please do more of her. Daniel

You are correct, Diana Ankudinova was only 15 when this performance took place in 2019. This cover of Chris Isak's, "Wicked Game" really demonstrates that Diana Ankudinova has a true contralto sound which is a very rare female voice type. In particular, her tone quality, timbre, roundness plus the depth of her voice and resonance, further define Diana as a "dramatic contralto", the rarest of rare contralto voice types. Diana is also a real polyphonic singer which in itself is also a rare talent and is a vocal technique that allows a singer to create two different tones at the same time so it sounds like two different voices at the same time. This polyphonic sound is why some people mistakingly think she is using a voice synthesizer or vocoder or something else to artificially manipulate her voice. Some think there's another voice singing off stage in the background, or she is singing over a pre-recorded vocal track. There is no artificial manipulation of her voice or vocal tracks going on at all. What you hear is all Diana Ankudinova. Also, on average the majority of female singers usually don't reach their full vocal maturity until they are around 23 to 26 years of age a real vocal prodigy. I am looking forward to what Diana will sound like when she reaches full vocal maturity. When she does and has had more years of voice training with her voice teacher plus several more years to hone her stage performance skills, there will be no doubt that Diana Ankudinova will be a wonder to behold and a vocal force to be reconded with. Diana is on a new Russian singing show. 1st one was last Saturday; she did a unique dark interpretation of part of Elvis's "Can't help falling in love with you". Received a perfect score from the judges...all competing singers themselves. She's 18 now and her voice, especially in the high registers, has become incredibly powerful. She really is special.

My perception of vocal art has completely changed over the past two years, although I was not a complete beginner. At first, Dimash demonstrated absolute mastery of his voice as a musical instrument and his musical erudition. Such a singer will perform the phone book and will never make a mistake. I understand why Igor Krutoy returned to business and regularly supplies Dimash with new songs. Her voice - polyphonic, maternal, gentle, powerful, silky at highs and even frightening at lows - is often described in terms such as "mystical", "mesmerising", "immersing in a trance", "healing", "speaking on behalf of nature." And the most interesting thing for me is those immanent and transcendental meanings that Diana conveys to her listeners. For the first time, the most interesting thing for me in a high-level vocalist is her Personality.

Lol shes the real deal and yes 15 Rechenca 13/14 and Blizzard will make you think Kate Bush and Shirley Bassey but that voice is almost unique. Her adoptive mum and big sister formed the backbone of her support and encouraged a damaged three year old to follow her interest in music and performing.. This show has excellent production values in support of its young performers who share a disadvantaged background in common. Its about the whole presentation and performers tallent. She could become an international artist if she gets the chance to travel now shes graduated from her performing arts School. Whenever i see her going into that final belt ...i want to add a meme... Diana....I only told you to blow the bl**dy doors off.😁😂🤣😎😇
