Eargasm..... You don't usually judge a performance like this. We are just here to listen to such. 😂 if ever there was a moment you think you wasted your life, this is proof that the purpose of this life at least, is to listen to this... Music isn't about analysis and judging. For the right audience it's the emotional journey. No matter who the artists are. But in this case, as your genuine reactions speaks for themselves, their voices tear your soul apart. One of the most beautiful performed aria's. Proper eargasm.... Thank you for sharing this...

This is one of my favourite arias, so I have listened to it a number of times. You gentlemen did a great reaction, but the reaction I enjoyed the most was your looks of astonishment!! Just when you think it can't get any better Amira comes along and blows your socks off. The entire time I've been following this young lady she never ceases to amaze me. Here she is all of 13yo and singing a complicated operatic duet with a seasoned pro(Corlea) and knocks it out of the park. Amira only Amira!!!

Amira sings and I fold my hands in thanks! She was 13 and matched her performance with a seasoned professiional who is one of her idols. With the Christmas holidays approaching you can find many performances of holiday music videos. Amira when age 11 did many songs at Cannisius church in her hometown at that time, her singing Ave Maria (Gomez ) gets me every time I watch it!

Amira's Ave Maria (Gomez) in the Dutch church is one of the most remarkable performances of any singer, of any age or era. Unfortunately it was not recorded with professional equipment (or backing!), but it is breathtaking nevertheless. At age 11.

Thank you for a great, great reaction and I'm so glad to hear you would have given her more than just a ten if you could. I also felt tingly when I heard Amira and Corlea together for the first time. Their voices make me think of velvet flowers and beauty and silken textures, and all done with a perfectly matched vibrato on both sides.

In this performance Amira sings the soprano part and Corlea sings the mezzo part...and the performance is as good as has ever occurred at the met.

I am very happy to see the surprising reactions of the two. At the same concert, Amira sang Nessum Her Dolma Her and Amazing Grace so beautiful later in the show. Both are really worth getting and the amazing performance is a masterpiece. Amira is also a very humble and philanthropic young woman. She can also sing many other classics in 12 different languages. Amira has quite a repertoire and she has a large following all over the world. Amira's performance on her grand stage is clearly popular. At this concert Amira was 13 years old at the time.

Amira has such a beautiful voice. She is only 13 here. She also did Amazing Grace (I think you already did) and also did a powerful version of Nessun Dorma, in this show. Corlea has a great voice too, and sings a variety did different styles of music. Their is also performance of MY WAY. with all of the cast members. Each singing their parts their way.

Great video guys! Amira was 13, for BP1 info, she had just sung an excellent Nessun Dorma ( which is available to view) before being joined on Stage by Corlea. There is a video of this one posted by Amira fan Ray Vandenburg with English subtitles, it's being sung in French. Amira is singing the part of Lakme, a young princess who is in some distress as her father has to go off to town for some dark reason. Her maid, Corlea, suggests they enjoy a boat trip down the river to take her mind off things, a lot of the aria describes the scenery. The jasmine, the singing birds. The two singers harmonise so well together, which takes a skill all of its own. Credit to them both. For another stunning solo performance, I suggest Amira singing Nella Fantasia live in concert, in 2016. Think you will enjoy it.

The preceding comments say it all, and I see that the one I’ve been requesting gets a few mentions . ie. ‘’ Ave Maria by Gomez at the Canisius Church ‘’. when she was just 11 yo. Amira sings from within, and produces a performance that grown, experienced singers would envy. Her power, voice control & heartfelt passion shows just what an incredible, world class performer she is. Just to say that Amira credits Corlea with having been an enormous help to her in her singing. Corlea has an amazing voice herself and apparently has been very generous with her advise to Amira and they seem to get on very well.. There's a video of them singing together offstage and you can sense the mutual respect between them.

OK, good reaction - but now watch it again; because you missed one important aspect - they have synchronised their vibrato. This song would sound dreadful if the two singers could not synchronise their vibrato. Just think about that . . . I first heard this song whilst I was getting on a British Airways flight at Heathrow - it literally stopped me in my tracks . . .

Mostly, I don't care for opera. But there are a few opera songs that I love. This is not one of them. I love Amira, but if I don't like the song, it doesn't mattter who is singing it. This one didn't do it for me. Probably suggested by an opera fan. But make no mistake, I am a huge fan of Amira.

Alma Deutscher; composer, violinist with a permanent loan of a ten million dollar Stradivarius, pianist, and now, with a year of top level instruction, conductress. You can catch them singing the STEPSISTERS DUET from Alma’s opera, CINDERELLA. The most common review is of her WALTZ OF THE SIRENS from her sold out Carnegie Hall concert playing her music. She cocks a snook at the critics claiming that modern concert music should not be beautiful by resolving a traffic jam into four Viennese Waltzes.

The live in concert version from Africaans is groot is the best. 2016. She has sung it several times, one video of her singing it age 8, pre- Hollands got talent!
